It can be observed from the development of China media groups, the development level of China's market economy has a bearing on public knowledge about the attributes and functions of our country's media groups. In China, media have always carried the characteristics of administrative institutions. The emergence and cultivation of China hotel media groups can not be carried out on its own. The western approaches neither fit China's circumstances, nor are they practical. Therefore, the development model that China media groups are going to take during their organizational transformation shall follow China's special circumstances and be with Chinese characteristics. The approach it shall take is to cooperate with the existing media to realize expansion at low costs. The mechanism for it is to strengthen the regulation power of our national economy, where corporate operation is possible with assets peeled off. In management, win-win merge with complementary advantages aiming at enhancing group competitiveness is the best option since win-win or multi-win model has become mainstream in the development of China media groups.The mainstream media groups in China still relies on government support, industrialization and regional monopoly, non-corporation operated, lacking in market competitiveness. Thereafter, the research on the organizational transformation of China media group shall take our special circumstances and characteristics into account:The essential problem for mainstream China media groups resides in their systems. The deformed principal-agent relationship has led to the uncertainty of agent opportunism and moral hazard; thus the mission of organization transformation reveals more difficulties and deserves more attention.The rationalization and scientification of China media groups can provide safeguards for them to meet fierce competition in economic globalization. Consequently, to measure the relationship between media groups and their ecological environment, the transformation and reform of China media groups shall be observed from the general context of society, economy and ecological environment.This study begins from introducing the background of China media corporate groups, and illustrates research methods and outline contents in detail. In this paper,two prerequisites to the study of media industry groups and organizational transformation of media corporate group, together with core problems contained are clearly defined. For example, it clearly identified prerequisites to organizational transformation of domestic and foreign media groups, and also clarified evidences for the analysis of the triple attributes of media groups, information organization, benefit organization and political orientation.As analytical tools for this study, methodology and research design is the focus of study. The following theories, such as organic view of Structuralism on organization development held by general Methodology theory, constructism view of organization transformation and reform, and the perspective of media ecological environment based on systematic structure, all fully demonstrates the author's intention to reveal the essence behind phenomena via stereotypical and dynamic descriptions. As concrete approaches are concerned, the combination of field study and empirical research, and the organizational transformation research methodology are both active exploration and profound meditation on this issue.Theory and literature review are fundamentals to this entire paper. The author has made an effort to address any theory that is related to organizational transformation. From the study of traditional schools of organization theory to its development, there are organization theory in behavior science, population ecology, resource dependence theory and transaction costs theory and new system organization theory. This paper provides objective comments on the contributions and drawbacks on them.Front edge research is the focus of this study. The analysis of three major components in step equilibrium theory, deep structure, equilibrium period and great change period is a creative exploration from the author.If theory and literature review are taken as fundamentals to this paper, a general theory model of organization transformation should be the framework of the whole tree. In this chapter, models are demonstrated one by one. The concepts of organization property, basic knowledge and existence interpretation, organization system and the definition of organizational transformation, construction of the whole organization structure model, major organization components analysis, organization target, operational business/ science and technology, system arrangement etc., all of them are addressed in this study.The theme of study is the analysis of present media groups in China. This chapter puts emphasis on the organization attributes in the construction of China media groups, the effectiveness of group organization structure, internal and external factorsin constructing media corporate groups and the disparity between media corporate group and other corporate groups. The research on formulation cause of China media groups, market economy and China media and analysis of factors restraining the development of China media groups have proven to be fruitful. Among them, resdarch on organizational operation mechanism of China media groups, which focuses on mechanism and structure analysis of internal variables, and research on policies in China media groups operation, which is environmental analysis of external factors, are its core products.In the analysis of disparities among domestic and foreign media group organizations, the study of external and internal motivation of international media corporate group organizations construction, the property right organization model, organization management model, capital operation model and corporate operation model in the comparative study of international media corporate group organizations operation models, seeks for truth and facts though comparison and contrast.The enlightenment of international media groups model to China media group organization transformation come from our special efforts. With a firm belief that the experience of international mega media groups shall be learned from during China's media groups organizational transformation, the researcher prescribes for it mature and effective measures and approaches. It provides constructive suggestions and proposals from various perspectives to the new construction of China media group organizational structure, operation management of media groups and new integration of editing and broadcasting procedures -from bureaucratic structure to virtual structure, the creation of China media group study organization and the formulation of media group global network.With such a theoretic framework, this study attempts to address the following core questions:l.What are the features of structural evolution and external environment of media corporate group organization transformation?2.What are effective measures and approaches for China media corporate group organizational transformation in a new period?3.What are the significant enlightenment of international media corporate group organization construction and operation model to the ongoing China media corporate group organizational transformation?Following two tracks of domestic and foreign media growth process and organization structure evolution, the study reaches the four major factors in China...
