According to dialectical materialism, laws exist in and govern everything or every phenomenon in the world. Therefore, to recognize and rebuild anything or any phenomenon, it is necessary for us to study and master its inner laws. As a practice in human society possessing its own purposes, plans and organizations, the ideological and political education must follow its unique laws. The ultimate goal of research on theories of the ideological and political education is to reveal the laws of its movement, transformation and development, and further to provide a scientific theoretical guide for its practice. And the recognition of the laws in the process of the ideological and political education presupposes a deep research into contradictions in the process. From the research materials available hitherto in China, it is clear that there lacks a sufficient revelation of the contradictions in the process of the ideological and political education, and lacks a systematic and profound study of the laws in the process of the ideological and political education. It is thus extremely important in both theory and practice to study carefully the contradictions to probe into the process of the ideological and political education and discover its laws.In the theoretical level, research on the contradictions and laws in the process of the ideological and political education may help systematize the theories in this area, and improve the research level, which may enrich and develop the theoretical system of the ideological and political education as a discipline. It stands as the central task for any discipline to discover the laws that phenomena within its scope follow. In what degree a discipline can express its achievements in the form of laws is a measure of its development.In the practice level, studying the contradictions and laws in the process of the ideological and political education may be able to transform the out-of-dated ideas of workers of the ideological and political education, and provide a scientific theoretical guide for its practice. The educator in this field is an organizer and implementer. His/her ability of organizing, coordinating and controlling the process of the ideological and political education is relevant to whether or not he/she can follow the process laws of the ideological and political education, which decides success or failure of the education. The purposes of my research is to help the educator to handle well his/her relationship with the educated in teaching and study activities, to follow the corresponding laws in selecting teaching materials, teaching methods and educating carriers, which it is hoped to leads to an improvement of the actual effects of the education.The previous achievements of academic research on the process of the ideological and political education show a profound exploration of and insights into its basic concepts, constituting elements and features. However, the diversity of views on the laws of the process of the education is much out of place with the theoretical development of this discipline because the process theory is the core of the theory of the ideological and political education, and the goal of exploring features, institutions, stages and contradictions of the process of the ideological and political education is to reveal its laws which mark the maturity of the discipline. Based on this recognition and taking the perspective of the process's circulating state, the dissertation, guided by the essential ideas and methods of the Marxist theory, employs methods like documentation analysis, investigation, comparison and contrast, contradiction analysis and systematic research to explore in depth the circulating mechanism, stages and features, and to analyze the contradictory movements of the process's constituting elements and their relationship. In this way, it attempts to reveal the primary laws system of the process of the ideological and political education.Innovation of the dissertation lies in four aspects. First, it explores in depth the circulating stage of the process of the ideological and political education, and discusses the condition, means and procedure of realizing the internalizing stage, externalizing stage, and feedback-test stage. Secondly, it offers a fresh interpretation of the features of the process of the ideological and political education. Thirdly, it reveals the contradiction system in the process, and analyzes causes and demonstrations of the contradictions appearing in the process. Fourthly, it has established a primary framework and contents of the law system of the ideological and political education process, and studied the concrete laws and sub-laws of the process. It provides a detailed demonstration of the concrete laws of the elemental relationship in the process of the ideological and political education, of the concrete laws of the run stage, and of the laws of the next dimensionComposing introduction, body and conclusion, the dissertation may be divided into five chapters.Introduction proposes the theoretical and practical significance of the research, its key and important points as well as innovations. Also it explains the logic pivot of the research. Based on the survey of the previous achievements in the ideological and political education, it puts forward the methods employed in the dissertation. In Chapter One, the author introduces the four theoretical bases of the study: the materialistic dialectic's views on association and development, the Marxist doctrine of contradiction, the dialectical materialistic theory of law, and the Marxist doctrine of man's all-round development. All these theories provide the scientific epistemology and methodology in our study of the process of the ideological and political education and its law system.Chapter Two defines the process of the ideological and political education. First, it analyzes in depth the process's connotation and constituting elements. Secondly, it analyzes the process's circulating mechanism and stages. Finally, it expounds the features of the process. Discussions in this part serve as the preliminary work of the later research.Chapter Three discusses the contradictions in the process. First, it studies the reasons, meanings and functions that yield the basic contradictions in the process. Secondly, it discusses in detail the contradictions one by one and their demonstrations, which prepares for revealing the law of the ideological and political education process.In Chapter Four, the author conducts a primary exploration of the framework of the law system of the ideological and political education process. First, it defines the process law and its modes. Secondly, it discusses the features of the process law. Thirdly, it discriminates some views on the process law. Finally, it demonstrates the process's basic laws and the logical associations among the concrete laws.Chapter Five discusses the basic law and the concrete laws in the ideological and political education process. First, it argues that adapting-transcending law is the cause and inner regulation of the basic law of the ideological and political education process. Furthermore, it reveals systematically the inner regulation. It provides a detailed demonstration of the concrete laws of the elemental relationship in the process of the ideological and political education, of the concrete laws of the run stage, and of the laws of the next dimension.In Conclusion, the dissertation confirms the necessity and possibility of the research in the theoretical and practical level. To realize the leap from "realm of necessity" to "realm of freedom" in the ideological and political education, we can never stop exploring the laws of the education process. Law is recognizable, yet meanwhile it is hidden. In addition, due to the fact that the education process is open and dynamic, discovery of its laws cannot be achieved in one day. Instead, we must devote more time and energy to deepen our theoretical study and improve our education practice.
