The Study On Mao Zedong's Thoughts About Socialist Social Construction

To achieve social harmony and build a better society is a social ideal that always unremittingly pursued by humans and Marxist political parties which is including Chinese Communist Party. Society-building is an essential way to achieve this ideal. Communist Party of China combined the basic principles of Marxism-Leninism with China's specific realities, therefore achieved the victory of the new-democratic revolution, the establishment of a new China, and then established the socialist system, which has created a fundamental political prerequisite for building a socialist society. When exploring a way to socialist construction that fitted China's national conditions, the Chinese communists represented by Mao Zedong made a deep theoretical thinking about what is socialism and how to build socialism and formed some thoughts concerned about socialist construction. Even though there were some twists happened in the exploration process for a variety of reasons, however, Mao Zedong's correct thoughts about socialist construction had an important guiding significance on building a harmonious socialist society.Because of social construction is a major research topic involved multi-disciplinary issues, this thesis is under the guidance of the research methodology of dialectical materialism and historical materialism, based on comments related to social construction in Party's resolution on a number of historical issues since the founding of China, and the comprehensive use of researching method of politics, sociology, economics, history, and so on. The thesis is focused on social construction, and I make a deep analysis on Mao Zedong's thoughts about socialist social construction from five aspects. The main contents of each chapter are summarized as follows:The first chapter traces the theory origin of Mao Zedong's thoughts about socialist social construction. After a deep analyze I find that MAO Zedong's thoughts about the socialist social construction is based on Marx and Engles ' thoughts and discussions about social construction; its innovation comes from the experience and lesson summed up from that of Lenin, Stalin's socialist construction; it is enriched by absorbing in positive thoughts of Chinese traditional culture about the social construction .The second chapter clarifies the formed background and the development of MAO Zedong's thoughts about socialist social construction. My thesis starts with the completion of socialist transformation at the end of 1956 and establishment of socialist system in China. I connect the conformation process of Mao Zedong's thoughts about socialist construction with great changes and adjustments happened at home and aboard , and form my own thought that Mao Zedong's thoughts about socialist construction can be divided into three stages from 1956 to 1976's experience. They are a good start, a tortuous development and a serious setback.The third chapter expounds the main idea in MAO Zedong's thought about the construction of socialist society. When leaded Chinese people to build socialism, Mao Zedong put emphasis on "great society" and put the social construction into all the work of the Party and state which includes economic, political, cultural construction and other constructions. Mao Zedong still paid attention to the "small society", which is named after our understanding, including education, employment and health etc. In my thesis, I make a clear discussion from five aspects, democratic, education, employment and health and social security; I still make a comprehensive overview on MAO Zedong's thoughts about socialist social construction.In the fourth chapter I explore the logic of MAO Zedong's thoughts about socialist social construction. In the thesis, I discuss the logical starting point, the strategic choice, the value orientation and other aspects of MAO Zedong's thoughts about socialist social construction, and make a further outlines of socialist social construction of MAO Zedong thought.In fifth chapter, I make a rationale analysis on the evaluation of MAO Zedong's thoughts about socialist social construction .Mao Zedong's thoughts have a high value of significance, but there are also some obvious contradictions.Because of this, we get a lot of experience of enlightenment as reference to build a socialist society with Chinese characteristics.
