Into the 21st century,as an important part of the human culture,sports show greater vigor and vitality in the upcoming leisure era.Leisure sports clubs have rapidly emerged, welcoming all reasonable needs of the times,and have already become a major force in sports industry.Instructor is the direct contactor of consumers in the club,meanwhile the club's service concept, to a large extent, is to be passed to consumers through the instructors.Through the contact, consumers are able to decide whether continue to spend money here or not. Thus, instructors'level of guiding, serving, and communicating,are justifiably an important competitive component for the core operating of leisure sports clubs.However,as leisure sports club has just gained its new development in China, problems still exist in the area of instructor's selection, assessment, and training:the selection standards are not unified; the system is in disorder;the training objective is fuzzy.All above factors seriously restricted the effective disposition of human resources in leisure sports clubs.Therefore the constructing of leisure sports club instructor's competency model has strong practical significance.However,what does not match with urgent needs and practice is that, in theory, although teachers,civil servants,doctors and other industry-specific personnel competency has been studied by many scholars, the characteristic of competency of leisure sports club instructor---a new professional practitioners,is lack of systematic study at home and abroad.Hence,constructing instructor competency model under the situation of Chinese Leisure sports club can not only enrich the theory,and what is more important is to expand new perspective of research in the field of leisure sports management.According to the previous theory and practice,by the methods of literature research, behavioral event interviews,group-focused interviews,questionnaires,statistics,etc., taking the "competency" and "job performance" as the core concept and the instructors as its study object,this dissertation examines the status of instructors and the role of leisure sports club,explores elements of competency,constructs a competency model and performance model as well as verifies the relationship between the two,and finally analyzes the application of the competency model in the human resource management in leisure sports club.From the study above,the following conclusions can be made:First of all,the competency of leisure sports club instructor includes the following factors:honesty and integrity,creating a sense of trust, innovation, communication skills,building relationships,customer awareness,understanding others,flexibility, emotional awareness force,information search, learning ability,adaptability,influence, responsibility,initiative,professional knowledge,self-control,self-confidence,respect for others,breadth of knowledge,arousing enthusiasm.Second, leisure sports club instructor's competency model includes four dimensions:personal characteristics,communication and contact,personalized tutoring, professional quality.Among them,personal characteristics include "honesty,integrity, respect for others,self-confidence,responsibility, initiative"; communication and contact include "communication skills,establishing a relationship,customer awareness, understanding others and adaptability";personalized tutoring,includes "creating a sense of trust,self-control,motivation, influence,emotional awareness force"; professional quality include "professional knowledge, breadth of knowledge,learning ability, creativity, information search"; "flexibility" were excluded in the analysis of exploratory factor.Third, leisure sports club instructor's job performance model includes task performance,effect performance and service performance.Among them, task performance includes "completing mission,repurchasing intention,and recommending intention"; effect performance includes "building up health, gaining knowledge,feeling good";service performance includes "timely service,diversified service,prompt response and accurate guidance"; "Team awareness, brand awareness,trainee of satisfaction" were removed in the weight vector of standardized screening AHP.Finally, the leisure sports club instructor's competency has a positive relationship with job performance,but differences exist in its influence on different dimensions of performance.Among them,the personal characteristics have great influence on task performance;while communication and contact affect service performance greatly, and personalized tutoring and professional qualities influence effect performance.
