The value orientation of the reform of the basic education is an important subject in the research of the reform of the basic education, which has an important impact on the reform of the basic education. Since the founding of new China, the value orientation of the reform of the basic education constantly transforms in the course of the reform of the basic education. According to the theories of the reform of the basic education, the policies of the reform of the basic education and the practice of the reform of the basic education, the research analyses the change of the value orientation of the basic education reform and reflects on the issues of the value orientation of the basic education reform. The research analyses the possibility and the necessity of the value orientation of the basic education reform, probes into the process of the value orientation of the basic education reform, discusses the thinking mode and the methodology, and talks over the evaluation and the renewal of the value orientation of the basic education reform. The research mainly includes the following contents:First of all, the research analyses the value orientation of the basic education reform and the reform of the basic education. The value orientation of the basic education reform is related with how to understand the basic education and the reform of basic education. The dissertation reinterprets the concept of the basic education and the reform of the basic education, analyses the attributes and the characteristics of the basic education and the basic education reform, discusses the training targets of the basic education, debates on the significance of the basic education reform, and interprets the connotation and the theory schema of the value orientation of the basic education reform.Next, the dissertation discusses the changing of the value orientation of the basic education reform, after the new China founded. Based on the policies of the basic education,the theories of the basic education reform and the practice of the basic education reform, the research analyzes the changing of the value orientation and the reasons, and reflects on the questions of the value orientation of the basic education reform which are political ideology,utilitarian, and so on.Thirdly, according to the analysis of the change of the value orientation of the basic education reform and the issues of the value orientation of the basic education reform, the research talks about the choice and the ascertainment of the value orientation of the basic education reform. The dissertation analyses the process of the value orientation of the reform of the basic education which includes the specific courses of the value orientation of the basic education reform, the principles and the standards of the value orientation of the reform of the basic education; has a discussion about the thinking modes of the value orientation of the basic education reform which are the practical thinking, the subjective thinking, the relational thinking and the generative thinking; debates on the methodology of the value orientation of the reform of the basic education; and talks about the evaluation and the renewal of the value orientation of the basic education reform.Lastly, according to the national reform, the special reform and the local reform, the research chooses three typical examples.
