In recent years, studies about educational value orientation in educational theorists madegratifying achievements, and it has made important contributions to promoting the developmentof educational theory and enhancing the level of educational practice.According to the related research, however,it has little concern about the value orientationof Chinese’s basic education reform experiment that people is unclear for some problems onChinese’s basic education reform experiment in different periods of what values are, why, andhow the interaction between the value orientation and education reform experiment even and theoverall reform, it is not only a lack of this research filed, but also ignores the importance ofvalues in education reform experiment. To resolved these issues, there has an in-depth researchon Chinese basic education reform experiment’s value orientation about society and individuals,efficiency and fairness, knowledge and ability, in order to provide the basic material andframework for future study.The study mainly includes four parts:The first part: introduction. Combing the research results of Chinese basic education reformexperiment and value orientation, and grasping the research present situation, and on this basispoints out that that the purpose of this study and significance.The second part: the development process and characteristics of basic education reformexperiment since the founding of our country. The study generalize and summarize the basiceducation reform experiment’s development process.The third part: the investigation of value orientation of Chinese basic education reformexperiment since the founding of country. The study discuss thoroughly three value orientationsabout society and individuals, efficiency and fairness, knowledge and ability based on threestages: the founding seventeen years, the ten years of “Cultural Revolution” and the thirty ofopening up, analyzing the concrete and typical reform experiment, in order to strengthenpeople’s understanding of each kind of value orientation.The fourth part: the introspection and choice of Chinese basic education reform experiment.Last part of study, first of all, the research has conducted a comprehensive reflection andsummary of the Chinese basic education reform experiment’s value orientation, and carried outscientific prediction for the future development trend, to look forward to our country’seducational reform experiment toward a better direction.
