This dissertation is a research thesis of the education thought with an integrated eyeshot, in which the ages background is the transformation period in westernsociety------Renaissance, the pursuing humanity of education is the core of its contents. Theeducation is the activity which trains a person. Therefore, the person is the jumping-off point of education, is also the educational terminal point. Which determines that all of this education thought or theories in any ages are based on that people's comprehension and assumption of humanity in this ages, and the depth that the education could reach depends on how deep people can understand the humanity. Based on coordinating the Western educational thought in ancient Greece, ancient Roman, the middle ages and especially the ages of Renaissance in western Europe, this dissertation will especially analyze the course of pursuing the humanity in the development history of educational thought in the West, and scan the interactive rule among the transformation of social economy, of the manner of man's existence and of the education in this special historical period of social transformation with an macroscopical and integrated eyeshot, and scan the significance of education to achieving the certain period's understanding of humanity, and search the ideal way of guiding praxis for the occurrent transformation of education in China now through history insight and self-reflection of West-East comparison.The education ideologist of ancient Greece not only put forward own views of inquiring the educational human nature, but also established lyceum, carrying on fruitful education fulfillment. However in the Middle Ages in Western Europe, the human nature is covered under the deiform aureole, acquired the reason that oneself exists depending on divine aureole, and resulted in that education became a god's servant. Renaissance in Western Europe started to discover man and relieve man, making the human nature awake. People know gradually, the person needs not any external resort, man's oneself is the purpose. The whole sciences, morality, politics and culture are reasonable only when based on human nature. Therefore, in the realm of education, people objected to suppressing and trampling upon human nature, sparked plug humanistic dignity and freedom, contested the natural development of humanity, promoted man's reasonableness and intelligence, pursued man's happiness and enjoyment, made the education return humanity, and established an thought foundation for the western modern education.Education is a historical and agelong process for pursuing humanity, it has no ultimate target, only having the realistic comprehension of certain ages. The main standpoints of this dissertation on pursuing the humanity of education are: first, the person's existence is a kind of subjective existence, the meaning and value of a person's exists lies in the biggest expression of a person's subjectivity, which is also the person's freedom and happiness in the meantime. An education of Respecting humanity, should pay attention to the person's spirit existence, wake the person's subjective consciousness up, make a person to become an self-supporting, independent, self-confident, self-conscious one. second, education ofrespecting humanity should believe firmly that a person has potential and innate intelligence, the purpose of education is to scoop out the potential of a person, to inspire a person's intelligence, and to make the person's ability get the biggest degree expression and releasing. At the time of descending the mankind cultural and scientific knowledge, more importantly, education should give a person deserved intelligence, this kind of intelligence is a concrete exhibition and sublimation of a person's reasonableness, a creation is that a person combine knowledge and intelligence, that is, to make contribution to society, to achieve one's self-worth. Three, the education of respecting humanity should develop education roundly and harmoniously. Education should pay attention to growing personality first, make everyone know the truth and the responsibility of why a person being a person;The education should inspire the student's interest in the study, and help a student to master a right study method and possess the active learning ability, and make the student become the person of development for life;Education should even more train students' healthy physique and sound soul, so as to achieve the life meaning and value of a person. Only this kind of education can really make life reside on the earth admirably and poetically.
