Textbook Design Towards Individual

The flourishing Information Technology gives a great impact on the planning, editing, publishing and delivering of textbooks used in school. The new technology constructs a platform for the innovation of textbook design. This essay focus on the design method supported by information technology, and it tries to integrate educational theory, publishing science and computer science into a single area of textbook design. This essay reviewed the history of textbook development and gives comments on the textbook design method in use, but it hope to find the condition of the existence of textbook in the future.The essay includes four parts except the Introduction: Chapter 1. The Basement of Container and Technology for the Textbook Design towards Individual; Chapter 2. The Theoretical Possibility of Textbook Design Towards Individual; Chapter 3. The Practical Possibility of Textbook Design Towards Individual; Chapter 4. The Institution Possibility of Textbook Design Towards Individual.In the first chapter, the essay described the development of technology used in textbook publish. The new technology gives new possibility for the revolution of textbook design.In the second chapter, the essay analyzed the different category of textbook. The basic structure of textbook should have muti-formation according the requirement of different curriculum value. Information technology will perform an important role during the processes.The third chapter has an emphasis on the different needs in learning of individuals. Textbook design should begin from the investigation of student's needs. The cognitive psychology and corpus theory guide the design of texts, and the lay out of printed page and the illustration should obey the basic rules of psychology and curriculum theory.The final part of the essay analyzed the attribute of textbooks. The relationship of authority, market and centralization was discussed. The electrical textbook is the new possibility of textbooks, but the reality of new form depends on the ratification of authority.Textbook assessment and evaluation should be an important part of this essay, and it will be discussed in my next essay because of the length of this dissertation.
