In the last decades,the pedagogical community has witnessed a spectacular phenomenon,that the closed,oriented linguist system of normal education has given way to the open andintegrated linguist system of teacher education.In the teacher professional development trend,thespecialization of teacher education has gained more and more attention in pedagoge.It becomesmore important to strengthen the discipline construction of teacher education and to build thesecondary discipline of teacher education belonging to the pedagoge.If the answer if yes,then,can teacher education be an independent discipline? How to build its disciplinary system? How toconstruct this new discipline? These are undoubtly the most important tasks in the research ofteacher education.As a researcher on teacher education,it is our responsibility and mission to payattention on the exploition and innovation of teacher education discipline.I think it necessary thatwe think about the basis and legality of teacher education to make it an independent discipline.Wehope that our work will raise more concerns and promote the development of teacher education asan independent discipline.The raising of the question that to build the teacher education discipline conforms thedevelopment tendency of the transition from the linguist system of normal education to teachereducation.It can supply the gap leaved by normal education,which,is abandoned in the processof education reform.When analying the principal contradiction in different period of the teachereducation history,we'll find that building teacher education discipline is pertinent issue in order tooptimize the teaching staff in the new era.Under the circumstances of the unversitization ofteacher education,it is necessary to response the core issue that how to construct the disciplinewhen thinking teacher education by university logic.In addition,teacher education has atheoretical possibility to separate from pedagoge.The logical starting point is the originatecategory of a discipline.It is the thinking starting point in the discipline theory system.It is alsothe core component in the system of the disciplinary research object.The study on the logicalstarting point of teacher education discipline will contribute to build self-consciousness of theresearchers,to promote the derivation of the discipline theory system,as well as to guide teachingpractice.The logical strating point of teacher education discipline is'teacher as professional',which is the simplest and the most primal category in the system of teacher education discipline.To derive this concept,we could get many categories such as'teacher education','teachertraining','teacher research','qualification of teacher',and the structure constituted by all theseconcepts and categories.They become the rounded system of teacher education discipline.At thesame,'teacher as professional'is the logical starting point of both practice and research of teachereducation.On the other hand,teacher education practice is aiming at bringing about an advance in teacher specialization.From the perspect of subject definition,teacher educationdiscipline is an intellectualdiscipline on the teacher education's fundamental principle and methodology based on the theoryof teacher professional development.It regards searching the general rules and the actral operationof teacher education practice as chief task.It is a compound and specialized discipline belongs tothe category of practicing pedagogy,with the characteristic of synthesis.The research content ofteacher education discipline is the contradiction and the idiographic of the training anddevelopment of the'teacher as professional'.The components of teacher education knowledgehierarchy is training,appointment and research,which are the necessary basis in teacherprofessional development.In the research of teacher education,we can borrow research methodsfrom social science,such as qualitative investigation,quantitative study and qualitative stydy.Besides,in the disciplinary construction,we have to draw and integrate lage amount of knowledgeand methodology of other subjects,especially those who are on intimate terms with teachereducation,such as general pedagogics,normal pedagogics,teacher pedagogics,occupationalpedagogics.Viewing from the criterion of the disciplinary independence,teacher education disciplinemeet the needs of time and society development,which makes it become an independentdiscipline.On the other hand,viewing from the methodology monopoly,science systemcompleteness or the maturity of teacher education activity,teacher education discipline isimmaturity.So we should get hold of the present situation and problems of teacher education,insist on theoretical positions,educational positions,Chinese culture positions,humanisticpositions and construction position,in the perspective of practical,pluralism,international,scientific and critical field of view,to concentrate on institutional improvement and to constructthe course system of teacher education,so that we could educate a term of high-level inresearching on teacher education.Ultimately,we try to improve the research level of teachereducation discipline.
