Life education is an idea which starts with life, inspires the internal life factors of education, develops it and perfects it in order to improve its quality and sense.Art is closely related with people's life. In the world, no language can have the same function as music which can overcome time and space to convey the sense of life. Music has become a common language of the living world with its strong influence. All the subjects have their unique contents and methods about life education. The practice and realization of life education depends on not only the study of life education theories and the solving of basic problems in this field, but also on carrying out various activities in the teaching practice, the improvement of educational environment and the understanding of life itself by all the subjects, which is especially true for art courses that reflect the true nature of life.On the basis of the previous researches, my thesis sticks to the principle of combining theory and practice, uses many research methods integratingly such as documentation analysis, comparison and analysis, general evaluation and so on, and draws on the findings and methods of philosophy, sociology, economics, anthropology, etc. The gist is the problems existing in music education curriculum and the current situation of music teaching and the two main clues are the analysis of the nature of life education and the characteristics of music education. The point of penetration is the necessity of life education in music curriculum and teaching research, from which the investigation of the development of music education and its curriculum and teaching are started and carried out. The thesis focuses on the objects, methods and evaluation system of life music education curriculum and teaching to analyze the feasibility of life music education both at school and in society. I emphasize the direction of the problems and the practicality of the research in order to offer necessary suggestions to the realization of life music education in the field of education practice.Life-effecting music education is an essential part of life education and an important way to carry out life education. The first part of the thesis provides a large number of examples to prove that for a long time China has not achieved much in music education and its spreading. Music education hasn't played its due role in life education and there lie many problems, hence the failure to render aesthetic education in music education, which was unable to perform its duty in nurturing students'sentiment and promoting their all-round development.To define life-effecting education and grasp its gist is the premises of life music curriculum and teaching research. In the second part of the thesis, there is a summing up and brief analysis of all major thoughts on life in the history both home and abroad. Historical research at home and abroad on the meaning and nature of life offers us a broad horizon and rich sources for us to understand and perfect life and meanwhile it also lays the theoretical foundation for the launching of life-effecting education. On this basis, I analyzed the existing concepts of life education and defined what life education is. Through the defining of life-effecting education, the thesis states that life-effecting education is an education idea which is based on life to motivate its potential life factors, develop life, perfect life and thus promote its quality and meaning. To give life to education is an educational activity which makes education serves people's life to achieve its true status through exercises that are in line with life's true nature. This is because life education is not only an education whose contents are life, but also one to teach the ideas of life. Life education is not to put an attribute in front of education, but to unearth education's original life factors which used to exist but have already been missing. The coming into being of life education is due to the loss of life in the present education. Its success lies not in the existence of the phrase life education, but the very extinction of it. Because if that happens,life will be automatically respected and promoted.Life education should not be limited only to theory but should be implemented in educational practice. Therefore, theoretical research and activities in accordance with life's true nature are needed to ensure that education can reach the status with life's characteristics, namely, the status of life education. It is beyond doubt that there will be important practical significance if we discuss life education through specific subjects, especially the teaching of art subjects which are full of life's colors and meanings. The third part concentrates on the theoretical rationales of life music curriculum and teaching and its nature and characteristics. Life music curriculum and teaching possess the capability to motivate, entertain, promote, overcome and appreciate the art.The fourth part discusses the historical development of China's music curriculum and teaching and comes up with the idea that it can be divided into three periods, namely from the early 20th century to the foundation of the P. R. China, from the beginning of the finding of the country to the end of the Cultural Revolution, from the beginning of the Reform and Opening Up Period to the beginning of the 21st century. The thesis analyses the major problems and their characteristics that exist in our contemporary music curriculum and teaching, the most prominent of which is the loss of life in music curriculum and teaching. It also puts forward the historic tasks of life music curriculum and teaching.To complete the tasks of life music curriculum and teaching, one must establish a music curriculum and teaching system according to the true characteristics of life and from the height of life. The fifth part carries out a preliminary research on life music curriculum and teaching system. Under the guidance of MUSIC TEAHCING SYLLABUS FOR PRIMARY AND HIGH SCHOOLS, the thesis studies the objects of life music curriculum and teaching, its contents, teaching methods and the respective composing parts of the curriculum and teaching evaluation. Whether it be objects, contents, methods or evaluation, they are all based on life, represent the characteristics of life and its need for development, motivate the inner life factors of art education, set as its object the perfection of life and promote the quality and meaning of life.The sixth part analyses the conditions that ensure the implementation of life music curriculum and teaching. It mainly puts forward the social realistic conditions from the two aspects of school and society, which guarantee the implementation of life music curriculum and teaching.
