The magnificent unrestrained Chinese language world is fascinating. As the culture carrier,the language records life’s movements. It is full of flexibilities and tensions. It also showsthat life is unique and irreplaceable. Hence, Chinese language learning process, is notmerely a process of knowledge accumulating it is also a process of emotion experiencing,a process of knowledge and life interacting among teachers, students, and the learning materials.The fact that teachers and students are all living lives along the learning process makes theprocess itself full of life factors. Therefore, focusing on the Chinese language teaching andlearning itself is focusing on the activities of life, is also focusing on the survival anddevelopment of the people, is hence serving to improve the quality of life.This thesis is to try to explore and illustrate the life education in the new curriculumChinese language teaching from the following four aspects:In the first part, definition and meaning of life education is explained through the researchresults at home and abroad; it also shows the significance of life education research viadiscussing the missing points in the current life education in Chinese teaching under the newcurriculum;The second part illustrates the value orientation of life education in Chinese languageteaching via five aspects: promoting comprehensive growth of life via admitting life’sintegrity; trying to shape healthy life characters via respecting individual differences; improvinglife quality via focusing on the life’s experiencing characteristic; paying attention to life’ssustainability via understanding life’s generation; Stimulating the perception and realization oflife via waking up the subjectivity of life.The third part is devoted to exploring the possible useful life education resources that canbe found in textbooks texts, classroom teaching processes, writing teaching, extra-curricularreading, and reading notes.The fourth part, from the practical point of view, explores the strategy to implement lifeeducation in the new curriculum Chinese language teaching. It is the author’s hope that thisstudy could provide some help and useful reference for the life education theory andpractices in the our country’s new curriculum Chinese teaching practice.
