Life is valuable, it needs us to treasure it. Life is noble, it needs us to uphold its dignity. Life is intact, individual, and continuously forming, it needs us to provide full and free space to develop. Without life, the world is not a perfect one. Since the 20th century, the mankind has obtained large achievement in technology civilization. It was thought that the achievement might bring people more happiness. But in fact, the man cannot control the materials he created. On the contrary, man is alienated by the materials. Thus the meaning and value of life is questioned heavily.As a sacred cause keeping watch on life, the first task of education is to attend to life. Without life, all issues of education are unable to discuss. Thus, the questions of education are the questions of life. From the original, life is the home and root of education. Without life, there will not be education. On this facet, education is the cause of facing life directly and pursuing the development of life and attending to life most. It can to be said that caring for life is the bounden duty of education, but also its real connotation. The mission of education is to provide good environment for life development. Any education separating from life or life meaning is a kind of alienation and not the real meaning of education. It can be said that it is the most sorrow of education to forget life, and it is the most neglect on duty and adversity of education. Thus, in the history, many thinkers and philosophers, especially the modern ones, were buried themselves in recognizing and caring man's life. They also put forward many valuable thoughts and useful theories. It is a pity that modern education is influenced by technology reason and utility orientation, but block and forget the original pursuit. The phenomenon of ignoring life, suppressing life, distorting life, can be seen everywhere. This causes kinds of crisis of life, such as hollow inner being, no pursuit, passing in vain, committing suicide, killing others, etc.The New Education Experiment, as a research of fundamental education reform experiment, faces such man's life difficult position and life problems in education's, she makes a new interpretation of education on ideal action. It is maybe to say, the New Education Experiment prescribes a good medicine for life education by her deeds. This article elaborates the philosophy thoughts of the new life education right in this view. It's the need of education's returning to life and new interpretation of education.This article comprises six parts as below:Part One, introductory remarks. It analyzes the alienation of education and points out that the urgency of promoting the new life education.Part Two combs the thoughts of life in history.Part Three analyzes the understandings of life and life education. including examining the nature of life, the forms of life, and the features of life. On this basis, this part analyzes the nature of education, points out the component and pursuit of life education.Part Four analyzes the life education thoughts in the New Education Experiment and a philosophical thought on it.Part Five constructs the system of the new life education based on its aim, curriculum, value and teaching, it also analyzes ways and means of actions of the new life education.
