Professional ethics are the soul of PE teachers engaged in their jobs. This research uses the document method, the investigating method, the mathematical statistic method, the logical method and the ecosystem method to explore the theoretical and empirical research on professional ethics of PE teachers in secondary schools and the ways to build it.I Theoretical researchThis essay discusses the differences of occupational ethics and professional ethics of the PE teachers in secondary school on the basis of inevitable trend of specialization. Combines professional science and the theory of ethics with the working characteristics of PE teachers, this article also puts forward the concept, structure and characteristics of PE teachers' professional ethics of secondary school, At the same time, it discusses theoretically at the main problems of professional ethics of PE teachers in the new period and the main ways to construct professional ethics of PE teachers in secondary school.II Carried out following empirical research basic on the theoretical researchFirst, making " professional ethics of middle school PE teachers questionnaire", which has good reliability and validity and includes 4 dimensions: teaching ethics, the relationship between educations, campus ethics, personal morality.Second, using "professional ethics of middle school PE teachers questionnaire" to carry on a survey on the secondary school PE teachers' professional ethics in Fujian Province. The result indicates on the whole:â‘ Of the 4 dimensions by which they sense PE teachers' professional ethics, the factor of the relationship between education is most ideal. The second one is the campus ethics. The third is the factor of teaching ethics. The fourth is the factor of personal morality.â‘¡PE teachers in different sexes, different school records, different skills, different titles, different ages and in different schools of different areas or different ranks have not significant different evaluation on their own professional ethicsâ‘¢PE teachers who have different degree, as well as having different income have significant different evaluation on their own professional ethics.Third, making another questionnaire from the perspective of middle school students, correspond with each subject of the "professional ethics of middle school PE teachers questionnaire", and the questionnaire have good reliability and validity.Using the students questionnaire to carry on the survey on the PE teachers' professional ethics in Fujian, the results showed that:â‘ Of the 4 dimensions by which the students sense PE teachers' professional ethics, the factor personal morality is most ideal. The second one is the campus ethics. The third is the factor of teaching ethics. The fourth is the factor of relationship between education.â‘¡Students in different areas, different grade have significant different evaluation on their PE teachers' professional ethics while Students in different sexes have not significant different evaluation on their PE teachers' professional ethics.Forth, analysis the differences between the results of teachers' and students' questionnaire, the results show that: There are significant differences exist on the four dimensions and teachers have higher evaluation for their own professional ethics than students' evaluation for their PE teachers' professional ethics. PE teachers have significant difference with the average at the "professional identity", "Personal accomplishment", "respect for differences in students," "Classroom Organization", "after-school training", "the spread of sports culture".Using narrative research methods and interviews with some PE teachers, this research found the major factors which impact the development of secondary school PE teachers' professional ethics are: lack of professional autonomy, poor teaching conditions, backward normative ethics and the weak training of professional ethics. Use the mathor of investigation and the Pareto law, this research found the key strategies for PE teacher professional ethics construction are as follows:â‘ Construct the basic system and content of professional ethics of secondary school PE teachers.â‘¡Establish a scientific and reasonable incentive, appraisal, and supervisory mechanisms.â‘¢Improve the secondary school PE teachers professional ethics study and training system . In addition, the PE teachers need to strengthen the moral self-discipline, to carry out their professional ethics duty, to cultivate the spirit of professional ethics and moral character. School should improve the conditions of physical education, to protect theprofessional interests of PE teachers, to promote their professional growth..
