With the increasing technical complexity and competitive environmental uncertainty, the technology and knowledge needed by the high and new technology enterprises have been beyond the traditional scope of core competency. In order to obtain competitive advantage, forming and participating the R&D alliance have become an inevitable strategic choice for the high and new technology enterprises. The high and new technology enterprise in the different R&D alliance will establish the ties through its R&D alliance partners or even partners of its R&D alliance partners. As a result, the sum of the interconnected ties of R&D alliance partners constitutes R&D alliance network, which open a new era of external technology competition among R&D alliance network. Therefore, the research perspective of competitive advantage of high and new technology enterprises have been expanded from the bilateral interactions among the high and new technology enterprises to the level of R&D alliance network in this dissertation, which will have an important theoretical and practical significance.The present researches of related theory on R&D alliance, R&D alliance network and competitive advantage of high and new technology enterprises were firstly analyzed and evaluated in this dissertation, so as to lay the theoretical foundation for the research on the influence of R&D alliance network on competitive advantage of high and new technology enterprises. Based on the analysis of relevant literature of R&D alliance network, the concept and characteristics of R&D alliance network were defined and analyzed, and the connotation of competitive advantage of high and new technology enterprises in R&D alliance network enviroment was further analyzed. Based on the social network embeddedness theory, the formation causes of R&D alliance network were analyzed. Based on the strong and weak tie theory and self-organization theory, the formation path of R&D alliance network were analyzed. Based on the replicator dynamics game theory, the game process of R&D alliance network formation were analyzed. Based on the test of R&D alliance partner selection, the trial-and-error thought of Popper was inroducted into the research on R&D alliance partner selection. Based on the prior probabilities, the posterior probability and the loss function, the trial-and-error model on R&D alliance partner selection was set up, which can improve the efficiency that the high and new technology enterprises select the R&D alliance partner. In short, the formation mechanism of R&D alliance network was revealed based on the formation causes, path, process and partner selection. Based on structure, relation and location dimension, micro-mechanism of R&D alliance network effects was revealed by strong and weak tie theory and structural hole theory.Based on structure, relation and location dimension, R&D alliance network property was analyzed and mesured. Combining the integrated thought, integrated competitive ability by which high and new technology enterprises could obtain competitive advantage in R&D alliance network enviroment was defined, and the key ability factors were extracted.Therefore, the research on influence of R&D alliance network on competitive advantage of high and new technology enterprises was laid the theoretical foundation. Taking the learning ability factor, R&D alliance ability factor and open innovation ability factor of integrated competitive ability of high and new technology enterprises as the intermediary variable, the influence of structure, relation and location properties of R&D alliance network on competitive advantage of high and new technology enterprises was studied through social network theories, and the corresponding hypothesis were also prosposed.The empirical research on the influence of R&D alliance network on competitive advantage of high and new technology enterprises was conducted by Questionnaire. The design process and basic content of the questionnaire were described. The variable scales of R&D alliance network property were developed based on the connotation and measurement method of structure, relation and location properties of R&D alliance network. The high and new technology enterprises from Nankang Software Park in Taiwan and the high and new technology enterprises aided by R&D alliance promotion plan from IDB of Ministry of Economic Affairs in Taiwan were selected to be the questionnaire objects, and the granting and recycling of the questionnaire were effectively controled. Thus, the prophase design was conducted for the emprical research on the influence of R&D alliance network on competitive advantage of high and new technology enterprisesThe descriptive statistics, exploratory factor analysis and confirmtaory factor analysis have been studied using the PASW Statistics18.0 and AMOS8.0, and a good fit measurement model have been obtained. On this basis, the SEM model utilized to veridify the relative hypothesis of the influence of R&D alliance network property on competitive advantage of high and new technology enterprises was constructed, fitted, evaluated and modified. According to the final model acertained to have a good fit, the relative hypothesis of the influence of R&D alliance network property on competitive advantage of high and new technology enterprises were veridified, and the explanations that individual hypothesis veridification results did not pass were also given.The internal mechanism that the high and new technology enterprises acquire the competitive advantage through R&D alliance network has been revealed from the much more micro level in this dissertation, which will provide the theoritical support for the high and new technology enterprises to acquire the competitive advantage through R&D alliance network and improve the technological innovation ability for the high and new technology enterprises of China in the fierce international marketing competion, so as to enhance the overall technology innovation ability of China.
