Purchase Price Of China's Tobacco Problem

As the jumping-off point of supply chain of tobacco industry, tobacco leaf production is an important basis of tobacco industry. The stable development of tobacco leaf production has great impact on the development of whole tobacco industry.In fact, tobacco leaf production is confronted with dual influences of planned economy and market economy. On the one hand, the planting and purchasing of leaf are strictly controlled by the country. In China, every year the purchasing price and planting plan of tobacco leaf will be publicized. One the other hand, whether farmers are willing to plant tobacco leaf is decided by the comparison between the income from planting tobacco leaf and that of other crops. At present the prices of most crops in China are decided according to the supply and demand of market. In addition, the price of coal, fertilizer and pesticide which are used in planting tobacco leaf are also decided by market. Whether the purchasing price of tobacco leaf is reasonable has great impact on peasants' positivity of planting tobacco leaf. And peasants' positivity of planting tobacco leaf determines that whether the country's tobacoo production plan can be fulfilled. However, peasants' positivity of planting tobacco leaf should be kept in a reasonable range; otherwise China's tobacco leaf production will be badly influenced. If peasants' enthusiasm is too high, they will plant so many tobacco leaves that the supply of tobacco leaf exceeds the demand, and tobacco leaf will be overstocked. Therefore government will suffer from great loss. While if peasants are reluctant to plant tobacco leaf, the supply of tobacco leaf can not meet the demand. So researches on tobacco leaf production should be improved to establish scientific pricing method of tobacco leaf.This thesis studies on pricing problem of purchasing price of tobacco leaf in china.
