Development Of Sheep Industry In Xinjiang

Husbandry has been the unique, traditional and basic industry in Xinjiang. It has a great development potential. Sheep is always the main variety in husbandry in Xinjiang. The scale and economic interests of sheep industry have increased quickly in the past 50 years. Sheep industry has become the leading industry of husbandry. The research on the development of sheep industry has very important theoretical and practical values for the optimization of the agricultural restructuring in Xinjiang , the increase of the income of farmers and the improvement of competition of our products in the domestic and foreign market. This research firstly makes an all-round systemic analysis on the development of sheep industry in Xinjiang through the empirical analysis and the theoretical analysis,the quality analysis and the quantity analysis, the macroscopic analysis and the microscopic analysis,compared analysis and economical measurement analysis methods.This article has three parts. The first part includes the first, second,third,and fourth chapters. In this part, it puts forward the concept of sheep industry in Xinjiang. Then this article makes an in-depth expatiate on the theory of industry economics, the theory of industry chain and the theory of competition power. These three theories are the theoretic base of the whole research. At last, on the basis of the research on the manufacturing, consumption, trading and development trends of the sheep industry in China and the world, it puts forward that China holds a certain percentage of the manufacture and consumption of mutton, wool in the world, and distribution of the area of the mutton and wool production in China is very clear. From now on, the main development direction of China sheep industry should change gradually from wool to mutton together with the development of wool and sheepskin, from free depasture to intensive feeding, from the manufacture of mutton to lamb mutton.The second part includes the fifth, sixth, seventh, eighth and ninth chapters. This part analyzes the present situation, existing problems, features and development principles of the development of sheep industry in Xinjiang from the manufacture, processing, trade and consumption of sheep products. Based on this, it thinks the sheep industry in Xinjiang has a resource advantage in the sheep varieties, natural meadow and the processing of forage grass. Sheep industry has become the leading industry of the economic development of the rural area in Xinjiang, and it has an important position in the livestock manufacturing of China.
