The sustainable growth of the firm is the common demand of stakeholders, and it is also the foundation of the sustainable growth of the national economy. However, not all firms can attain sustainable growth. Many enterprises involved in stagnation, or failed to death after a period of growth. Such phenomenon universally happened in all country, industry and all kinds of enterprises.The growth of the firm is the topic both in Economics and Management. Some researches, including what in the fields of New Classical Economics, Transaction Cost, Evolutionary Economics, Resource-based Theory and Life Cycle of the Firm, have discussed sustainable growth of the firm, but not systematically.All the above theories mentioned the significant influence of entrepreneur and their entrepreneurial activities on the firm growth. However, limited by their research purpose, they failed to focus on the entrepreneurship, sustainable growth of the firm, and their relationship. On the other hand, in the field of Entrepreneurship, more and more researchers link the entrepreneurship to the firm growth, but with few to the sustainable growth. The universal recognition of the importance of entrepreneurship to the firm growth make the topic of this dissertation feasible, and the shortcoming of the current research make its necessary. That is why I choose to analyze the sustainable growth of the firm from a perspective of entrepreneurship.Actually, in terms of the complexity of the firm and the variety of its influence factors, no theory can be expected to explain well all the related problems by itself.
