Agricultural Science and Technology Park (ASTP) is a main approach to diffusion of agricultural technology innovation. It's even an important proposition of theory and practice that how to make technology innovation diffused efficiently and rapidly by ASTP.It is believed that there are large gaps in the agricultural technology diffusion study of ASTP after summarizing and reviewing the relevant theory of agricultural technology diffusion. Based on the geographical perspective, the basic theory and the main field of diffusion study on ASTP were proposed by absorbing the quintessence from the theory of Economic Geography, Agricultural Economics, and so on. From five different aspects, the author analyzed the diffusion laws of agricultural technology in ASTP systematically. The diffusion has been seen as a complex system .First, the author analysis the main components, characteristics and mechanism of the system. Second, influencing factors of diffusion has been divided into three areas, that are farmers, technology and radiation zone. Third, the author definition the environment of radiation zone, which including the factors of farmers and radiation zone, and proposed the significance and ideas of environmental assessment. Fourth, the author believed that reasons for the diffusion of Agricultural technology in ASTP are the forces from government and market, diffusion process will inevitably influenced by driving factors and resistance factors. According to the different main impetus, the diffusion mechanism were divided into three types, they are market's attraction, government's promotion and joint force of the above. At last, the ways of diffusion were classified expansion diffusion, hierarchical diffusion and relocation diffusion in the analysis of the spatial effects on diffusion.Taking Yangling Agricultural Demonstration Zone (YADZ) as an example, using the method of System Analysis, Correlation Analysis and AHP, and using a wide variety of technical means, such as the Formula of Breaking Point, the Probit Model and the S-curve Model, the system components, influencing factors, radiation area and it's environment, the diffusion law of typical agricultural technology, diffusion mechanism under the different spatial scales of ASTP have been researched and discussed systematically. The empirical study on the distance factor found that the directly diffusion radius of YADZ about 40km. The result does not meet the expected status and role of YADZ. The quantitative evaluation of environment on Guanzhong area showed that the diffusion environments of every region are all poor (except Yangling) and different factor has exerts different force on the environment. The diffusion research on different types of agricultural technology confirmed that market has played a major role on business technology; government has played a major role on nonprofit technology, and market and government played an important role on intermediate technology together. The strength and direction of nonprofit technology diffusion are closely related with government's wishes and plans. The quantitative study of agricultural technology diffusion under different spatial scales shows that the space diffusion trajectory is from the innovation source to the diffusion source and to the receptor in final. At different spatial scales, the main influencing factors and diffusion ways are different. The macro-diffusion process, from innovation source to diffusion source, which affected mainly by the scale, showed the way of hierarchical diffusion and relocation diffusion. The diffusion process under the intermediate scale, which affected mainly by the distance, showed the way of relocation diffusion and expansion diffusion. The micro-diffusion process, from diffusion source to receptor, which affected mainly by distance, quality of farmers and agricultural business conditions, showed the way of expansion diffusion. According to the way and characteristics of diffusion, the models of diffusion in YADZ were grouped into five different types, which can be widely applied. At last, the direction and path for optimizating diffusion system of ASTP were proposed based on the analysis about problems that exist in diffusion process. They are the integration of government-guidance and market mechanism, diversification of diffusion intermediaries, farmers's training and improvement on radiations environment in order.The main innovations of this paper are the research perspective from Geography, focusing on the spatial dimension of diffusion and the use of quantitative methods in study. The results for the in-depth theoretical exploration of ASTP and the promotion of agricultural technology are all positive.
