The Study Of Technological Innnovation Patterns Based On Regional Characteristics

As China's economy increasingly integrated with the world economy, local economic development has been faced with challenges from different competitors around the world. It is an urgent issue to resolve that each district should improve the local competitiveness, combining with local characteristics. The competitiveness in a country or in a district is mainly determined by the level of its production efficiency. Therefore, a highly efficient regional innovation system is considered to be one of the most effective methods to improve the efficiency of research and R & D spending and promote regional productivity relying on scientific and technological progress. An efficient regional innovation system needs to keep in line with the regional and local characteristics.This paper reviewed the existing theories and patterns of technological innovation firstly. Since theories on technological innovation based on regional characteristics seem to be relatively few, basing on the connotation and charicteristcs of reginal technological innovation pattern and successful experiences of regional innovation models, for the first time we studied the situation of Chongqing technological innovation baring local characteristics, analysed its uniqueness, and proposed innovation patterns based on the reginal characteristics.This paper further explored technological innovation-driven factors theoretically, they are technology-driven, market driven technology combined with the market-driven and "demand - resources", and found that these factors got embodied in the activities of enterprises'technological innovation of Chongqing city.Basing on theoretic and qualitive analysis, we made empirical studies on Chongqing enterprises'technological innovation patterns, the intensity of enterprises'research and development and obstacles of enterprises'technological innovation through their investigation data. Analysis of the questionnaire showed that the enterprises have a strong sense of technological research and development and recognize the importance of it to maintain the competitiveness of the enterprise in the market. Meanwhile, these enterprises generally agree to adopt the model to bring in the mimic technology, which keeps in line with its technological development level. According to the research on the Enterprises'R & D intensity factors ,we found that industry, scale and ownership of the enterprise have apparent effects. Similarly, these factors also affect self-developed consciousness of the enterprises, but it doesn't have an explanation in the self-development as strong as in the R & D intensity.According to the obstacle analyses on limiting the Municipal Enterprise Technology Innovation, we found that the risk of technological innovation, innovation costs, lack of funds and innovative human capital are the main obstacles to constraint the technological innovation.Above all, this paper broke through the limit of either focusing on reginal innovation or enterprises'technological innovation, analyzed enterprises technonogical innovation pattern from the uniqueness of reginal culture and history, resource gifts, market structure, and the capability of tech-innovation, which filled the gap between macro and micro tech-innovation theory. At the same time, we did case studies on enterprises'technological innovation of Chongqing reginal chacteristcs, which will be practical for improving the career of enterprises'innovation of Chongqing city.
