Research On The Influences Of The Regional Innovation Milieus To The Regional Technological Innovation Output

Under the globalization and knowledge economy background, the increasing development of technology makes to technological progress contribution rate increased every year. With regional become an important feature of the world economy, improving regional technological innovation output becomes an important guarantee for enhancing the strength of the region and promoting economic and social development in the region. Regional innovation milieus are an integral part of the innovation system. To a certain extent, in a given technology, technical inputs and institutional system, regional innovation milieus are the key to improve regional innovation output. Therefore, the study of which factors of regional innovation milieus affecting regional technological innovation output has an important practical significance.This article from the region in view of this perspective, analyzing the theory of the regional innovation milieus, and using 2008-2012 data of indicators of regional innovation milieus and regional patent data, studies regional innovation milieus’ impaction on regional technological innovation output. Firstly, on the basis of analysis of regional innovation milieus’mechanism effect on regional technological innovation output, we use the factor analysis to select the three composite indicators, showing a comprehensive evaluation of regional innovation milieus, and explaining the causes of the differences in the innovation milieus. Secondly, using patent granted as an indicator for regional technological innovation output and the results of factor analysis to building a negative binomial regression model to study the effect of regional innovation milieus on regional technological innovation output.The article gets the following conclusions:firstly, regional innovation milieus in eastern, central and western showed significant differences. But from the vertical perspective, the central regional innovation milieus of the center are now gradually improving and catch up with the east. Although the innovation milieus in western have been improving scores, the overall is still in the downstream area of the national rankings. Secondly, this research find, the three comprehensive index of regional innovation environment has a positive impact on technological innovation output. And form the eastern, central and western perspective; regional innovation milieus have different degree and direction of influence on regional technological innovation output. On the basis of theoretical analysis and empirical research, this paper put forward policy recommendations to create better regional innovation milieus, improving regional technological innovation output.
