Research On Advancing Innovation Capacity Of Traditional Chinese Medicine Industry Based On SCP Analysis

Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) industry is China's traditional industry, and is also an industry which has comparative advantage in the international market. But at present, the industry faces many problems such as the poor products, few R&D investment, little guidance of present rules on the industry, and so on. At the same time developed countries are making efforts on botanicals research, which induces that TCM competitiveness is not only declining in the international market, but also the domestic share is diverted.Focus on the key tache-the innovation capacity of the TCM, the dissertation penetrates into the TCM's technology innovation station and the problems and puts forward the constructive tactics to improve the innovation capacity based on the industrial organization theory, technical innovation theory, patents economic theory, and etc. Some creative achievements are as follows:(1) Structure-Conduct-Performance anlaysis on TCM market. On the basis of Structure-Conduct-Performance analysis on TCM agriculture and industry, the low market concentration, the low technical barriers to market, products quality lack of competition, new products lack of competition and the imperfect rules are considered the main reasons reducing the low TCM innovation. The patents system and technology standard construction is put forward as the method to improve the TCM innovation.(2)The patents race model is established. The patents race model of TCM industry is established based on the patents economic theory as the theory reference for the rules arrangement. The patent rules arrangement is first designed concretely to incentive enterprise's innovation: the patent franchise definition declining to personal and redefining the TCM'innovation, which makes reference for the departments in charge of the TCM industry to make rules.(3) Chinese medicine quality control standard combined with patents is advanced. The core technologies and establishing principles of Chinese medicine quality control standard are studied based on the analysis of technology standard's economic attributes and its effect on technology innovation. The relationship between the technology standard and the patents is analyzed, the method of patents transforming to the technology standard, and the problems such as patent technology disclosure and statement, implementation of the standard and etc. in the course are researched.
