| Based on the current status of the energy and environment in China rural area,living styles of the rural residents and etc, the main work in the dissertation is to draw asustainable roadmap to decrease coal use for space heating in Northern China, includingthe cold and severe cold region.The creative work in the dissertation is presented as follows:①“Zero-coal lowenergy†housing is the concept for the sustainable development of the Chinese ruralhousing in the north. Decreasing energy demand and using the renewable energy arefeasible way to decrease coal use.â‘¡Improving the thermal performance of thehousing is the foundenmental step. In this study, the appropriate heat transfer values ofthe envelope are calculated by the use of the economic indicator, and heating loadindicator are presented accordingly, which could be useful for the energy-saving designof the housing.â‘¢Solar air collecting system is suitable for space heating in the ruralhousing. Based on that idea, a type of low-cost, but relative high efficient collector isdesigned. Besides that, the different thermal impact of heating terminals is analyzed byheat transfer theory and simulation.â‘£One typical strategy for “zero-coal, low energyâ€housing in the typical areas are presented, which could be useful for the housing andheating system design.The main conclusions of the study are listed as follows:①“Zero-coal low energyâ€housing is the important way to decrease unrenewable energy use and climate change,which could be regarded as the roadmap for the sustainability of Rural China.â‘¡Improving thermal performance of the housing could save60%of the space heatingdemand, and based on that, it is feasible to realize the “Zero-coal low energyâ€housingby the high efficient use of the renewable energy technically.â‘¢Low-cost, highefficient solar air collecting system is suitable for the space heating in the rural housing.Besides that, when the heat input are the same, the operative temperature of theconvection heating terminal of the solar air collecting system would be higher than theradiationunder normal living sytle of the rural residents.â‘£Chinese kang serves as a suitable heating system at night, thermal performance and the thermal mass of the upperkang plate are critical parameters in determing the thermal performace of the kang.The research results of the dissertation could be useful for decreasing coal use inthe heating system, and therefore could lead to the sustainability of the Chinese ruralhousing. Some results have been accepted in the Energy-saving standard of the Chineserural housing (CECS), and others supply the fundamental data for the heating systemdesign. |
