| In the background of city economy increasingly integrating into the world economic system chain, status and functions of mega-cities in the global and regional industrial system, Become the showcase of city’s economic development and competitiveness, while the central district is most concentrated expression of the city’s comprehensive competitiveness. The central district is the main product of the city economic activity, thus also affected by economic activity patterns, and has a significant stage characteristics in space structural development. In advanced Asian cities, after breaking circle-core structure development stage, its central districts, have appeared trends as flat hard-core hierarchical, continuous hard-core spatial form, linearization hard-core organization and so on. The new the spatial structure mode, called core-axes structure, and trends can be referred to the phenomenon of core-axes structure.Under the influence of globalization, the world’s population is rapidly gathering to megalopolis, a number of high-density mega-cities are produced, and in the cities, there appeared lots of core-axes structure center. And this phenomenon is not unique to China, high-density megacities in Asia’s fast-growing urban areas, also appeared several core-axes structure center. Response to this situation, the paper chooses Asian which has high similarity cultural and geographical as background. quantitative research the phenomenon of core-axes structure, sum up the characteristics of its space and format, and build the structural model, provide a more rational basis for the future development of China’s central districts.In this paper, author adopts combinational research of cases research and theoretical derivation. Cases research part relying on GIS and other platforms, the study to 20 centers in 13 cities appear core-axes structure phenomenon, including the Singapore Gulf-Orchard Central District, Hong Kong Island Central District, Beijing Chaoyang Central District, and Shanghai People’s Square Central District. Research include the development characteristics, spatial form, format, transportation systems, summarizes the 13 characteristics of core-axes structure central districts. Theoretical derivation part analysis generated mechanism of core-axes structure, and proposes structural model of the core-axes structure central districts.The main innovation of this paper are as follows:(1) Studying centers from the perspective of the high density city in AsianThe author has suggested the phenomenon of core-axes structure in Asian megacities from the perspective of high-density city, summed characteristic and clearly defined concept of these central districts. On this basis, the author quantitative research and analysis different scale of cities and core-axes structure central districts, explore the common features between these central districts, and explore upgrade threshold of that, then establish threshold criteria in Asian high density region for evaluation of the upgrading central districts.(2) Quantitative researching formats characteristics of the core-axes structure central districts.This paper unwound researches from the point of the formats studies, quantitative research on format institution of typical core-axes structure central districts, the contents include general characteristics of formats, format Composition and formats spatial characteristics. In addition, analyzing forces and the layout of formats in core-axes structure central districts, using the matrix level method to extract format clusters characteristics, and finally summarizing the format mode to the core-axes structure central districts, then explaining the-depth development law of the core-axes structure central districts.(3) Spatial quantitative research precision models.By obtaining precision data for blocks, land use, buildings and formats of the centers, the paper establishes precision models of the core-axes structure central districts, then quantitative research and analysis these models. On the basis of that, the paper summarizes and depth analysis spatial mode of the core-axes structure central districts, in terms of spatial patterns, transportation systems, functional structure, etc., then, building space model of the core-axes structure central districts. |
