Research On The Creation Strategy For Contemporary Lingnan Architectural Climate Adaptability Based On The Holistic View

This study is originated from a reflection on three phenomena related to Lingnan Architecture in the context of contemporary times:contemporary Lingnan Architecture is relatively lack of regional characteristics in the context of globalization and regional competition; contemporary Lingnan Architecture is lack of comprehensive design for climate adaptability in the context of environmental crisis and the concept of promoting sustainable development; contemporary Lingnan Architecture has some irrationality in the architectural creation in the context of leapfrogging development in science and technology and diversification of architectural design. Both the non-comprehensive, isolated climate adaptability design and the irrational architectural creation result in the relative lack of regional characteristics. The aforementioned problems are mainly raised due that architect uses the non-comprehensive, isolated manner of thinking and strategy. Architecture is a complex artificial material system, which integrates the natural environment, social culture, economic technology and other factors in the context of specific time. Regardless of Lingnan architectural creation or climate adaptation issues, systematic manner of thinking and its corresponding scientific methods are required to study and analyze from the perspective of holistic and dynamic evolution.This study uses theholistic view of system theory core ideology as guidance, combines architectural climate adaptability design and architectural creation, attempts to establish the strategy theory of the climate adaptability creation for the contemporary Lingnan Architecture, seeks the holistic design strategy to solve the problem, explores a rational way of creation, which is comprehensive including a variety of factors, focusing on climiate technical issues, highlighting the geographical characteristics of Lingnan Architecture, and contributes the research on the creation of contemporary regional architecture.The dissertation consists of three parts:The first part includes Chapter 1, "Introduction" which proposes the question. This part mainly discusses the origination of the study and background, purpose of the study and significance, research content and associated research basis, research methods, and research framework; The second part includes Chapter 2, "The analysis of the climatic adaptability of Lingnan Architecture and holistic view discussion" and Chapter 3, "Research on the theory of contemporary Lingnan Architectural climate adaptability creation strategy based on the holistic view ". This part analyzes the problem and explores the theory. This part uses the holistic view of system theory core ideology as guidance, analyzes the basic requirements of Lingnan Architectural climate adaptation and strategy development, proposes the concept "Lingnan architectural climate adaptation Holistic View ", combines architectural climate adaptability with architectural creation on this basis, and preliminarily builds the creative strategy theory of contemporary Lingnan architectural climate adaptation. The third part includes Chapter 4, "The space form creation strategy of contemporary Lingnan architectural climate adaptability", Chapter 5, "The ecosystem creation strategy of contemporary Lingnan architectural climate adaptability" Chapter 6, "The technology creation strategy of contemporary Lingnan architectural climate adaptability", and Chapter 7, "The holistic application of the creation strategy of contemporary Lingnan architectural climate adaptability". This part resolves the problem. It mainly uses the method of classification, combines with abundant and specific case studies, focuses on the practical application of creation from the perspective of the architects, studies intensively its constitute policy, influencing factors, main features, applicability, and the principles in the holistic application of in practice.
