This paper is based on shaped the development of progressive process fromthe Oracle-the Zhongding Wen-Xiaozhuan-Official script-Regularscript as a clue, taking the advantage of calligraphy image material ofcurrent technological era and trying to dig the hidden historicaldevelopment rules of script.In the course of the study, according to the new thoughts found by thewriter I make some preliminary solutions, I think the Oracle seal cuttingfactor is a key point in the development process of Chinese characters; Inpractical promotion, and in order to portray glyph personalized feature forneed, the character pattern has gotten rid of pictographic characters anddeveloped to the Official script and then entered into the regular scriptand eventually led the wisdom of “Book of Changes”, to establish the rulesof the game of the form of calligraphy.Calligraphy theory because of the historical context change and ownexistence the fuzzy characteristics and so on a series of reason, althoughit spoke many viewpoint from a strategically advantageous position, not payenough attention to basic theory, lead to many barriers in learning andresearch by many people who love of calligraphy.There is a ambivalence general among researchers in contemporary art theory.Firstly, they think that the genius have their particularity of their owngrowth and cannot be cultivated deliberately. Secondly, they want to affectthe growth of the artistic genius by their own academic research. In thispsychology, they will be less concerned about calligraphy physical form ofquality.This paper attempts to do calligraphy "map" research, it will combine thehistorical image material with ancient calligraphy theory by mutualcorroboration and aims to tap the calligraphy character pattern standardswhich shaped from the Oracle era to the Regular Script at that time. I hopethis paper can comb the calligraphy character pattern and historicaldevelopment progress.
