Research On Competitiveness Evaluation Of Regional Culture And Creative Industries In China

Cultural and creative industries competitiveness,which originated from the research field of western economics in the 1990’s, have attracted much attention of China in recent years. Since the state promulgated the ‘cultural and creative industries revitalization plan’ on July 22, 2009, the relevant research on cultural and creative industries competitiveness are also going deep, One of the characteristics of competitiveness study is the extensive application of competitiveness at regional, city, corporate and organizational levels, especially regional cultural and creative industries competitiveness. Clearly understanding the competitiveness of regional cultural and creative industries is extremely important to the regional economic development and even the country’s comprehensive influence in the international community. Based on the theory of Diamond Theory, Causal Analysis Paradigm and National Soft Power,the improved Bow-String-Arrow model of regional cultural and creative industries competitiveness is proposed,and a new generation of quantitative statistical methods-structural equation model(SEM) is innovatively used. In accordance with ‘theoretical basis of competitiveness evaluation- system analysis of competitiveness evaluation-calculation and test of competitiveness evaluation-application and regulation suggestions of competitiveness evaluation’, the following aspects are studied:(1)The theoretical background of competitiveness evaluation of regional cultural and creative industries.Based on previous research,modeling framework by introducing the decisive factors and contingency factors of Diamond Theory, logically deducting in term of cause and result of Causal Analysis Paradigm,taking the expression level of National Soft Power,namely regional social value, which is different from other industries, as a breakthrough point, Constructing Bow-String-Arrow model of regional cultural and creative industry competitiveness evaluation, and using projection method to elaborate the concept and connotation of cultural and creative industry competitiveness;(2)The system analysis of competitiveness evaluation of regional cultural and creative industries.Relying on Bow-String-Arrow model of regional cultural and creative industry competition, on the basis of exploring the characteristics of cultural and creative industries, establishing the competitiveness evaluation index system and metric model,elaborating index composition from the perspectives of theory and practice, analyzing the objective and inevitable connection between physical layer and data layer of the evaluation system;(3)The calculation and test of the competitiveness evaluation of regional cultural and creative industries. Using structural equation modeling(SEM) in the static and dynamic competitiveness evaluation, which is at the forefront of management statistical analysis technology, and mature method in the behavior, sociology and psychology disciplines study. Taking 31 countrywide provinces and cities from 2003 to 2012 as sample,analyzing the status, function and influence coefficient of regional social value and other dimensions in the evaluation system;(4)The application and regulation suggestions of the competitiveness evaluation of regional cultural and creative industries. According to the empirical research conclusion, discussing the six dimensions and eight major regions, analyzing the influence factors of different regional cultural and creative industries through longitudinal and transverse comparison, presenting the countermeasures and suggestions for the future development of cultural and creative industries in different regions, in order to provide some references for local government decision-making.
