Shaanxi Province Municipalities Cultural Industry Competitiveness Evaluation

Cultural industry has double characteristics of "culture" and "industry". Cultural industry has tremendous drive effects on regional economic development, and at the same time carrying and supporting the regional culture inheritance, development, innovation and prosperity. Cultural industry is the important embodiment of regional economic power, culture soft power and international influence, therefore the cultural industry is called "a new economic growth point in the world of the21st century". The important role of cultural industry is not only reflected in the national and regional levels, but also more and more important in city level. The prosperity of cultural industry and City shows intrinsic connection of bidirectional drive and symbiotic.At present, various provinces and cities attach great importance to the cultural industry development in our country. The provinces and cities consider cultural industry is an important breakthrough of creating regional core competitiveness in the new century. Shaanxi province and cities also attach great importance to the development of cultural industry. However, due to the cultural resources in different levels, the starting point and the development of cultural industry is different in cities, so the development level of cultural industry vary widely. Some cities haven’t fully converted cultural resources advantage into industrial advantage. Cultural industry of the national economy contribution rate is very low, and the driving force to the development of cities is not strong. Therefore, the study of the cultural industry competitiveness of cities in Shaanxi province has important practical significance to promote the levels of municipal cultural industry development, the urban economic and social development and comprehensive strength.Based on the related research data at home and abroad, this paper combed the related concepts and theories of cultural industry, and summarized domestic and foreign research results of cultural industry competitiveness. On the basis of the analysis of its shortcomings, this paper puts forward the theory significance of cultural industry competitiveness in cities of Shaanxi province. Through the understanding of the development situation of the cultural industry of the cities, this paper summarizes the main advantages and disadvantages of the cultural industry. Based on Potter’s "Diamond Model" as the main theory basis, this paper made reference to the existing research results and the current development of cultural industry in the cities, analyzed the influence factors of competitiveness of the cultural industry, constructed a scientific and reasonable evaluation index system of cultural industry competitiveness, then evaluated the cultural industry competitiveness of cities using the comprehensive evaluation and the cluster analysis. At last, the paper putted forward the policy suggestion to enhance the competitiveness of cultural industry in cities on the basis of the results of evaluation and cluster analysis.
