The Development Of The Value Philosophy Research

Development is the eternal theme of human society, the theme of today’s worldand contemporary China. But the pursuit of the development process is not easy.Under the guidance of the one-sided concept of development, many problems appearin the social development, for example, imbalanced development, resource depletion,environmental pollution, fair missing and value of anomie. This paper attempts tocombine the actual development of contemporary China and the world, from thelatitude of the development value, through the research of the basic theory of thedevelopment value, provide the contemporary Chinese social and economicdevelopment with some opinions and suggestions which full of reference value.Thesis consists of five chapters.The first chapter discusses the basic theory of development, value anddevelopment value. The development is a process of change which have a particularsubject, including goals,directions, innovation and generation. On the terms of thehuman society, the development have a richer meaning than growth, have more timemean than progress, synchronous with the process of modernization. Developmentconcept is the people’s over-all and fundamental view about the nature, purpose,connotation and requirement of the development, plays a guiding and leading role forthe economic and social development. Since the1960s, from the concept ofdevelopment came into being, the concept of development changed from the simpleGDP pursuit of economic growth theory into social development on the pursuit ofbalanced development of all sectors of society, from the concept of development ofunderestimate people which treat people as means into the concept of development ofvalue people which treat people as purpose, from the pessimistic of the growth-limitsview to the optimistic sustainable development view. These changes in essence is thetransformation of development values. The value is the effectiveness of therelationship between the subject and the object, which is about certain property of theobject meeting some needs of the subject, have the feature of objectivity, subjectivity,social, absolute and relative. Development value is the development that meet certainneeds of the people who is the subject, is the evaluation of people for the development,have the features of integrity, variability, comprehensive. The concept of the development values is the value-oriented point of view of people on socialdevelopment, is the certainty of the purposes, point and goal of the development ofpeople, have the features of total, multi-dimensional and relative.The second chapter examines the relationship between the value of thedevelopment of traditional Chinese culture, Western culture, and Marxism, providethe construction of contemporary values with the ideological resources and thetheoretical basis. Traditional Chinese culture, for example, people-oriented, the rulesof virtue, harmony, the contemporary Western theory of development, provide thescientific development values with the ideological information. Marxism considershuman liberation and free and comprehensive development of people as the ultimatetarget of the social development. This is the theoretical basis of the constrution of thescientific concept of development.The third chapter discusses the generation mechanism of the development value.Development value is generated in the human social practice, inseparable from theobjective material conditions, is also inseparable from the main needs of persons andtheir activities. The constituent elements of the development value contain subjectelements, object elements, and social practice. Among them, the subject elementsrefer to people in specific social relationship and their needs, the object elements referto development and its certain property, the social practice refers to the process ofsocial development. The generation process of development value is a process inwhich certain property of the social development meets the needs of the people. Theneeds of the people is the premise of the generation of the development value. Needsof persons have the features of subjectivity, objectivity, social, historical,multidimensional and multilevel, what decide the diversity of the development value.But all the needs of the people is not reasonable, and only the needs that adapt to thelevel of social development reflect the attributes of human nature, is conducive tohealthy human survival and sustainable development have the rationality. Humansocial practice translate the possibility of the generation of the development valueinto reality. The generation of the development value have the feature of unity ofsubjectivity and objectivity, unity of purpose and regularity, unity of historic andcontemporary, unity of universality and particularity.The fourth chapter discusses the main connotation of the development value.People has a multi-level and various needs. The dynamic creation of the practice of people have diversity forms. Human society is the system as a whole constituted bythe elements of economic, political, cultural, social and population, resources,environment. Social development is to meet human needs, so the value of humansurvival and development is multifaceted. The value of the development should beunderstood from the economic, political, cultural, social, ecological and other aspects.The economic value of the development is the development of productivity andequitable distribution; The system value of the development is fair and justice,democracy and freedom; The cultural value of the development is symbiotic harmonyand integration; The social values of development is overall coordination ofdevelopment; The ecological value of development is man in harmony with natureand sustainable development; The highest value of the development is to meet theneeds of multi-level, to achieve the comprehensive development of human freedom.The fifth chapter through the status analysis of the contemporary Chinesedevelopment, put forward the value orientation of contemporary China’s developmentand explore the main path of social development in contemporary China. Since thefounding of new China, especially since the reform and opening up, China’s economicand social development has made remarkable achievements. However, there are manyproblems, for example, the development imbalances, unfair distribution, the value ofanomie, and ecological damage. In China’s social development, we should establishdevelopment values contains people-oriented, prosperous, democratic, just andharmonious, develop a new concept, change the mode of development, reform thesystem structure, follow the Communist Party’s leadership, efforts to promote China’seconomic and social and human development.
