Currently in the middle of China’s modernization, along with the rapid economic development, the state faces at the same time the acceleration of social differentiation, the obvious growth of not harmonious, unstable factors, the development trend of office-citizen conflict and rich-poor contradiction. There are many social discontent and strong justice appeals, and also the further development of diversification and the group events. The authority of the government and the political system is facing certain challenges. China is facing so-called "the development crisis" especially "the conformity crisis".Political conformity is a continuous process of coordinating and combining the political system which consists of different subsystems, in order to maintain and improve an interactive political community. Political conformity contains the overall significance from different actions of multiple bodies in a political community (at least the government and the society). As a developing country, China is in the open environment and on the multiple social background, so political conformity which is meeting with more challenges is necessary. Big differentiation time with no suitable conformity mechanism is easy to be big split time. We have to face a serious mission: mediate contradiction, ease conflicts, improve the consistent, and contribute to the harmony, so as to realize the stable political order and the sustainable growth of the state.Growth of the state is the development of political contradiction movement such as government-society contradictions. In the process of modern-state growth, the state and the citizen, the power and the right go forward together. It mainly involves the nation-state construction and the democracy-state construction. Research on the growth of the state is in the ascendant. Its importance lies in the historical and realistic view and its looking to the future. The research is comprehensive and strategic. From the perspective of political science, the appearance of state was from political conformity, and political conformity can also be seen as one of the core contents of state-growth. The mode and effectiveness of political conformity have been changing constantly in the historical process, and are closely related to the periodic state-growth which is promoted or hindered by the former. Therefore, the topic of China’s political conformity is discussed in the context of state-growth in this paper.Different from the political conformity in the ancient, the modern pattern is the organic conformity based on the differentiation, and the function is more powerful promoting the free development of people. China’s current political conformity has traditional historical heritage and depends on the system of the new structure of P.R.China; it has experienced obvious adjustment and reform in Reform and Opening-up, and new challenges have occurred in the new era. In different historical periods, the effects can be continuously unfolded with experiences and also lessons. Contemporary China’s political conformity has obvious innovation. As the structural adjustment and functional adjustment within the national community, political conformity contains two big main bodies, that is, the government and the society. Their contradiction and interaction promote the development of political conformity. Chinese government today is carrying on semi-active conformity innovation, and at the same time, China’s social force is also rising rapidly. It shapes the political conformity mode mainly in the way of "re-institutionalization". If the government and the society were more actively committed to integration efforts, the modern-state growth of China will have bright future. The concern over the problem of political conformity is from the reality of the political crisis and the state-growth crisis in China today. Then, the author examines in turn the political conformity in traditional imperial China as historical heritage and the political conformity in modem China which had been in the process of modern-state growth according to the historical sequence. And then, the author does research in the practice of contemporary China’s political conformity, including governmental innovation and society rise. Finally, a certain analysis on China’s future innovation of political conformity is necessary.
