Under The Perspective Of Chinese Modernization Research Of Globalization

Development is the eternal theme of human. The social development of everycountry in the world in modern times, in fact, is the progress of realizing itsmodernization. In recent years, China’s development road became a significant issuewhich has been attracting academic attention. Modernization is the theme and theregularity of vital nature of China’s development road. This dissertation which takesMarxism as the guide, based on China’s national condition, and draws lessons from thewestern theory of development, lucubrates the origin, essence, development of China’smodernization, and China’s modernization goal, development strategy, the overalllayout and dynamic mechanism etc., from the point of view of globalization and theprocess of China’s modernization. The dissertation consists of four chapters.The first chapter presents globalization, modernization and their relationship.Taking Marx’s world historical theory and Marx’s modernization theory as the basis, itexplores the connotation characteristics and relationship between globalization andmodernization from the perspective of globalization. Globalization and modernizationhave their inner meanings and their motion laws, but they have the intrinsic relations.In essence, globalization and modernization are intrinsic unification; in a sense,globalization is the worldwide expansion of modernization. Seeing modernizationfrom the view of globalization, modernization is essentially the modern globalization,while seeing globalization from the view of modernization, globalization is actually ofglobal modernization. Globalization and modernization have linked together, which,to some degree, have synchronization. Globalization and modernization, at thebeginning of their development and since then a long period of time, once meanswesternization and capitalism. However, with the emergence of Marxism and socialistcountries, the coincidence among modernization, globalization and capitalism havebeen broken.The second chapter describes the history investigation and connotation analysisof China’s modernization under the background of globalization. In order tofundamentally understand the essence of China’s modernization and its origin, we need taking a deep historical insight into the globalization and China’s modernizationroad. China’s modernization road is a process from passive response to initiativeselection. The exporting process of China’s modernization road experienced threestages: the early, the middle and the current periods. The early exploration was theprocess to enable China to go into capitalist modernization, with consciously orunconsciously introducing the capital. The middle exploration, going through untoldhardships, led China to the road of socialist modernization, by taking use of capitaland gradually eliminating it. The current research is to let the capital play a positiverole under the socialist system, with the ability of continuously control of it.Reflecting on the difficult processes of China’s modernization experiences, it helps usto correctly understand the modernization path selection, and it can also enable us toknow deeply of the essence of the China’s modernization road.The third chapter states the multi-dimensional perspective of China’smodernization in the era of globalization. There are a series of contradictions whichconstitute the inner logic of globalization in the process of globalization. The socialistmodernization of our country not excluding in globalization, or taking the path ofisolated development, but carries on in the background of globalization. This leads tothe inevitable links between the China’s modernization construction and globalization,and the formation of various contradictions. As a typical backword exogenousmodernization country, those contradictions affected the every aspect of China’ssocialist modernization, and left a perplexing relationship of the modernization of ourcountry’s socialism. Nowadays although globalization is still dominated by thedeveloped capitalist countries, we cannot reject globalization, cannot deviate from thesubjectivity of our nations and countries, also cannot depart from our national andstate historical and cultural traditions, or even forget our own reasonable demands.This requires the combination of globality and particularity, globalizational thinkingand localized action, and then establishes the modern way of thinking which is adaptedto our modernization construction.The fourth chapter declares the strategic choice of Chinese socialistmodernization under the background of globalization. The strategic target of Chinese socialist modernization, the strategic steps of "three steps to walk", the fullconstruction of well-off society and the construction of the five strategic layout, are allcarried out under the background of globalization, based on China’s nationalconditions, referred to the way of the world’s development and indicators system.Strategic objectives, strategic steps and strategic layout will be eventually promotedand realized with the effect of the power of social development and runningmechanism. The force of social development and operation mechanism are not a singlepower, but a coordinating and integrated power system, which is created by a mainbody, and applies with, including capital, all kinds of power and operation mechanism.
