| Located in very northwest China, with eight neighboring countries, Xinjiang accounts for1/4of its land board. It is an important gateway for China’s opening to the west for its landscape, a necessary channel of the new Eurasian Continental Bridge, and a place with rich resource, such as coal, oil, natural gas and other mineral resources. The social development in Xinjiang is not only related to the prosperity of China, but also to the international commerce and cultural exchange among neighboring nations. From the perspective of international situation, Xinjiang plays a sign role in realizing Shanghai Cooperation Organization to protect peace and stability in central Asia. Hence, Xinjiang is significant to its domestic affairs, immeasurable to international situation as well. After the cold war, the expansion "three forces" around Xinjiang threatened the security and stability of that place. With the global economic development, international security and terrorism become more and more serious. At that time, ever-growing issues related with ethnic and religion in Xinjiang had a bad influence on the border security and stability of China. American began an ear to help the issues in Central Asian with a reasonable reason after "9·11" incident. They established military bases in Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan, which threatened the Central Asian strategy of Russia and resulted in the competition for more regions. Xinjiang was in threat as well. Meanwhile, the U.S. changed its role in supporting Xinjiang separatist forces------from original behind-scenes support to front desk support. To created fabricated-separation "evidence" and international momentum, they back them in economy, public opinion, politics and law by the theories of "human rights","freedom","nation" as well as "sovereignty". At the same time, they publicize books written by think tank to tamper the history and facts of Xinjiang, tarnishing the image of Communist Party of China, providing reasons for the separatist forces.Ethnic issue is one part of all social-development issues, which is a fundament perspective of Marxist-Leninist theory on ethnic problems. Compared with the research work on ethnic problems in Xinjiang, achievements based on that theory is less. While, the author knew and had a study of American "Xinjiang Project" when she was a visiting scholar at Boston University in U.S. For these two reasons, the writer does a systematic study on Ameirican’s attitude through their "Xinjiang Project"---to serve their own interest through controlling the world pattern. To achieve that purpose, the perspective of "Xinjiang Project" and the theory mentioned above as well as Minzu Policy formulated by China’s Communist Party will be applied. At last, the author is looking forward enriching research angles in theory, accurately grasping the Sino-U.S. relation in practice, for providing a basis for China’s American policy and directing the China’s anti-separatism for broderland stability. The paper includes introduction and body. The former focuses on research background, meaning, goals, and literature review and research method. The later as follows:In Chapter I, the author focuses on the introduction of American "Xinjiang Project". On the one hand, the author studies the reasons for putting forward American "Xinjiang Project" from three aspects, ranging from politics and economy, international politics and military as well as security. On the other hand, the author points out that Xinjiang is illegally belong to China and there is no "human rights" in Xinjiang, which is based on fabricating Xinjiang history and improper description of "human rights" in Xinjiang. The author puts emphases on the relation between "East Turkistan" issue and "Xinjiang Project" in Chapter Ⅱ. Firstly, the historical changes of "East-Turkistan" separatist forces will be examined for pointing out their separation aim. Secondly, the author will explain the relation among "Xinjiang problem","East Turkistan" issue and "Xinjiang project" to figure out that these three different groups have the same aim-to separate Xinjiang from China. Thirdly, the author studies the same purpose between the ideology systems of "Xinjiang Project" and "East Turkistan" by comparison. The main content of the third chapter will be the containment theory toward China in American "Xinjiang Project"and its attempt. The author studies from two aspects implied, nationalism and ideology, to reveal its separation foundation, through which U.S. makes troubles on Xinjiang issues, furthermore, to realize their own development and interest at the cost of containing China’s peacful development. In the forth chapter, there is a detail analysis on the mechanism and characteristics of the containment strategy toward China in American "Xinjiang Project". The main instruments, destroying stability of Xinjiang and nation security, are examined. Meanwhile, the author focuses on the diffusion of Xinjiang problems affected by the interaction between American "Xinjiang Project" and "Eastern Turkistan" issue. This does do harm to Xinjiang as well as the whole country. In chapter V, the author points out American’s policy in containing China within "Xinjiang Project" and the harm it resulted in.Confronting American’s containment strategy toward China and dirty hanky-panky from international separatist forces, the author tries to provide appropriate suggestions from the perspectives of domestic and abroad to previously pretend the endanger from the two. That is the main idea of the last chapter. |
