A Research On College Students’ Vocational Value Education In China

In the expedited process of the reform of the socialist market economic system, the economic sectors, stakeholders, social organizational formations and manners of intercourse have been various. As the emerging occupational groups and industrial sectors came out in endlessly, people’s conceptions of employment and values of profession have been more and more opened and diversified. Meanwhile, the professional conceptions, value orientations, ways of thinking, and behavioral habits of college students have been influenced profoundly in their youthful days. Therefore, the key problem of studies on theories and practices of college students’vocational value education lies in how to make it adjust to the general situation of socioeconomic development, as well as helping college students realize their own values.Basing on the vocational selections and actual development of college students, this paper combined vocational education with value education, educational theories with occupational theories, and attempted to investigate the status and functions of values in vocational education and occupational development. Though analyzing the core-concept, structure characteristics, and impact factor of college students’vocational values, while looking back upon the development of college students’vocational value education, this paper focused on the acceptance mechanism, and then expatiated on the system and operational mechanism, finally penetrated deeply into the theoretical framework, evaluation criterion, educational connection and full range process of college students’vocational value education, in order to propose the right ideas and rational countermeasures. This dissertation consisted of six chapters:In chapter one, the connotation and influencing factors of college students’vocational value education had been analyzed in this chapter. Rising from the abstract up to the concrete, from the particular to the universe, it first explained the meanings of values and vocational values, and then further analyzed the conception, structure, characteristics, significances, and effects of college students’vocational value education. Finally, it resolved the impact factors related to the vocational value education from different viewpoints of microscopy, macroscopy and the one between them after summarizing the current research situation of college students’vocational value education.In chapter two, theoretical basis had been valued. From the perspective of ideological and political education, the theories of Human Essence and All-round Development of Human Beings of Marxism as well as the Youth Theory were foundational, and theories of vocational value choices were the direct ones. Furthermore, the classic theories of western vocational value education had also been borrowed from, which was one of the important content of ideological and political education.In chapter three, development course had been represented. After making a longitudinal study of the history of vocational values, the relative educational situations and characteristics of different periods were analyzed. Beneficial experience, problems and developmental trend were expounded at last.In chapter four, Acceptance Mechanism of college students’vocational value education was the main content. Basing on the basic rules of the formation of thoughts and concept, as well as the acceptance theory, Three-dimensional Pattern and Progressive Pattern of college students’vocational values formation were proposed. In addition, Internal Mechanism of acceptance of college students’vocational values was probed in this chapter.In chapter five, the construction and operation of the system of college students’ vocational value education had been mentioned. Corresponding measures and suggestions were proposed, which were grounded on the specification of principles, construction of system, and searching for mechanism.In chapter six, some issues of development of college students’vocational value education had been exposited, which included questions about the educational policy orientation and construction of the authoritative theories, questions about establishment of evaluation criterion, and questions about connections and full range process of college students’vocational value education. Above all, founding on the exploration of the weaknesses of college students’vocational value education, this paper was aiming at promoting the sustainable development of it.
