With the deepening of the new curriculum, the demanding on promotion of personalizedlearning and training students’ require ability from our government, Inquiry-based Learninghave drawn more and more attention.Junior high school physics is a natural science based on experiments which plays animportant role to cultivate students’ problem finding, problem analysis, and problem solving. However, the vibrant and interesting phenomenon, law and principle are presented in thebooks in the form of text, formulas, symbols, and simple graphic images. Physical experimentcan help students understand knowledge, and in theory can be a solution to the problem of asdescribed above, but conventional laboratory experiments cannot finish every experiment, soit has little meaning to help students with understanding the inherent law and the principle, and also can’t improve students’ ability formation and application practice. The recent related research and practice indicate that information technology can supportjunior middle school physics teaching very well. But the current inquiry-based leaningsupporting environments have the following problems: for the theory and the method researchaspect, most studies is independent of the subject, just focus on the definition, features andmode, case analysis and argument, lacking of specific knowledge ontology; for theInquiry-based learning environment aspect, most researches are focus on to settling one orseveral problems but not to architect inquiry-based learning environment based on learningtools nor the idea how to build a reasonable inquiry-based learning environment, and mostdesigned environments mainly are the multimedia information integration, lacking of helpstudents to understand the abstract knowledge deeply; for the inquiry learning environmentapplication aspects, mainly focus on the teacher’s guidance, interpretation and summarized, and lack of environment for students personalized learning. This paper studies the theory, method and environment mode for supporting studentsinquiry-based learning utilizing information technology,it makes choice of junior middleschool physics as a research and application field, mainly focus on the problem of difficultyof knowing, understanding and mastering abstract knowledge, and it tries design an effectiveinquiry-based learning environment and application. The main research works are as follows:(1) On the basis of analysis the discipline ontology and new course standard, putforward a kind junior middle school physics inquiry-based learning environment designideal-"discipline ontology analysis, learning mode design, Integrating points analysis, learning environment design and application research",which solves the problem that most currentinquiry-based learning environments are short of reasonal design though;(2) From the dimensions of independent and cooperation, and another dimensions ofthe operation and design, build the independent operating inquiry-based learning mode, independent design inquiry-based learning mode, cooperative operating inquiry-basedlearning mode, collaborative design inquiry-based learning mode, which solves the problemthat most current inquiry-based learning modes ignore the analysis of discipline ontology;(3) Analyze and sum up the common integrating points of junior high schoolphysical inquiry-based learning activities, including: knowledge explanation, lawexploring, inquiry-based learning environmental simulation, application, cooperation andcommunication, testing and diagnosis, scene creating, and puts forward the correspondingstrut way, which solves the problem that most teachers cann t diagnosis intergrating poinysand choose inquiry-based learning environment correctly;(4) Based on the above theory, method, the paper gives the junior middle schoolphysics inquiry-based learning environment model, analyses junior high school physicalelectrical, optical, mechanical inquiry-based learning construction tools, and conductsempirical study, which can solve the problem of difficulty of knowing, understanding andmastering abstract knowledge.
