In the process of reform and opening up and development of the socialist market economy, because the double impact of transition and uncertainty of the era transformation, social transformation, system transformation and the market economy, western social thoughts are emerging and are active, and it has a profound impact on people’s thinking and behavior. The awareness and influence of Western Social Thoughts of liberal arts students are significantly higher than that of science and engineering students. Comparing with the influence of1980s and1990s, the influence of contemporary western social thoughts shows some new features:It uses the novelty of theories and views to attract contemporary college students, while college students contact it with more feelings and life experiences. That it penetrates into the technology influences college students. It confuses college students with western mainstream values’universality and strongly influences on students’mutual permeability.
