In this study, the basic connotation of Western social thought, the essential characteristics and social functions in-depth system of combing and research as a starting point, and on this basis, to reveal the basic spirit of the contemporary several significant impact on university students’ values of Western social thought and the main features; the actual current values of college students in the form of a comprehensive excavation of the positive and negative effects of these Western social thought to cause our students values; and Western social thought can have adverse effects on the reasons for our students values were analyzed summary; finally the question of how to guide the Western social thought to play a positive role in resisting the negative role in helping students to establish the feasibility of countermeasures scientific values.
