The 21st century is the information society, which is a new trend of social development. The arrival of the information society for traditional music teaching philosophy and practice has presented a huge challenge, but it also brings new opportunities. To meet this challenge, meet the needs of information society development and the music students’ professional development, who are undergraduates in normal university.This article will attempt to respond and answer this question.As a research topic, this study is based on information technology supported music students’ teaching ability. Around this theme, this paper carried out a study of the following. First, after examining the information society to music students’ education brings object form, teaching philosophy, teaching content and teaching methods change,around the music students’ teaching ability which is the core issue, along the idea "creation of teaching mode-innovation of teaching method-design of teaching research" discussion on the cultivation of music students’ teaching ability supported by information technology, and based on this idea, to analysis the teaching abilities practice and its effect. Finally, to adapt to the new teaching programs of social development needs.Details are as follows, for a total of six chapters:Introduction:question this study,to interpret teaching ability,the concept of music teaching ability, the music teachers’teaching ability in information environment. Carding the recent development in this study, research summary of the traditional teaching ability, teaching ability supported by information technology research, music teacher training students under information technology environment and other issues.From three aspects to the design of this research:research purpose, research ideas, research methods.Chapter 1:subject directly, in response to the challenges and opportunities of music teachers education.The arrival of the information society, music teachers education must adapt to the development of the information society, and to improve their teaching ability.Chapter 2:a brief description of IT-supported music students’ teaching ability.To analysis the changes in information technology that lead to teaching ability structure, with information technology platform to integrate music disciplinary knowledge, use TPMUK model of pedagogical knowledge, and combined with teaching activities to promote relevant factors,we can resolve the music students’ teaching ability.Chapter 3:from two levels of innovation teaching mode and teaching methods, to explain the culture of music teaching ability of music students in information environment.Chapter 4:from three aspects to design IT-supported music students’ teaching ability learning environment, learning tools and learning evaluation.Chapter 5:the instructional design of IT-supported music students was proven and Effect Evaluation.Comparing the information technology as the carrier of the "receptive learning" with"technology integrated teaching" Assess the advantages and disadvantages of both,and then explore the shortcomings of the new teaching based on the presence of information technology support, to provide advice to further promote the integration of information technology and teaching.Chapter 6:On the basis of IT-supported music students’ teaching ability to summarize research on the feasibility of proposed ideas on how to develop a new program for music students’ teaching ability in the information society.IT convergence music students’ teaching ability, has two characteristics:on the one hand it has a stage, with the help of information technology platform that can effectively implement teaching and learning across the development from dependency to grow to blending;on the other hand it has integrated,although information technology is an important support,it is not simple to add music subject knowledge, pedagogical knowledge,but through knowledge, pedagogical knowledge integration and musical disciplines play a role.
