With the rapid development of our society and economy, people’s living standard is largely improved.Meanwhile,people’s awareness of fitness is unprecedentedly enhanced and national fitness activities flourish.However, because of the weak foundation of social sports development,the relatively backward PE-teaching in college and school and the lack of effective social fitness organizations,the general public haven’t mastered scientific methods in physical exercise although they show much enthusiasm for them.In order to solve the contradiction,the government has successively published System of Social Sports Instructor(including Hierarchy of Social Sports Instructor and National Occupational Standards of Social Sports Instructor).Although our country has carried out the National occupation qualification certificate for nearly ten years, the number of professional social sports instructor(use PSSI for short in the following)is too small to meet the need of present fitness market.The group of PSSI develops slowly and unstably, with prominent job mobility and departure phenomenon. This series of problems heavily influence the stable development of PSSI group. From the prospect of professional psychology,the career commitment(use CC for short in the following) is an internal psychological motivation determining whether or not the practitioners would continue the career. It’s also a decisive factor influencing the practitioners’ professional attitude, behavior and work results.Therefore, a study on the CC for the PSSI group is not only very pressing but also quite important.This paper combines the qualitative research with quantitative research, using document research, interviews and statistics to study the PSSI’s CC problem in China, trying to find circumstances and the regular pattern of present PSSI’s CC,providing scientific theory basis for the development and perfection of the system.This paper is divided into five parts.In part one, through document research and pre-interviews, on the basis of developing the validity of the theoretical assumption on the PSSI’s CC,we design questionnaire to test and measure the structure of the PSSI’s CC.Our research shows that the PSSI’s CC is composed of affective commitment,opportunity cost commitment,ideal commitment and normative commitment.The PSSI’s CC questionnaire has good reliability and validity and is applicable to measure the career commitment.The second part is difference hypothesis testing of the PSSI’s CC in demographic variables.The CC has no difference in gender, but shows discrepancy in age,on items and the hierarchy,working years and pre-employment social roles.In the third part, we investigate the predictive effects of PSSI’s perception of career security to CC and the CC to the career success. In part four, we have done a model hypothesis test about the relationship between the PSSI’s CC and the career success under the resilience mediation. The results confirm their relationship.Part five is about a case study on the PSSI’s CC. The result shows that the conclusion of above research can be basically confirmed in interviews.Meanwhile,Grounded theory method was applied to build the process of formation and development of the PSSI’s CC.Finally, according to the conclusion of the above five parts, we make strategy research from three aspects,respectively system development of PSSI, occupation guarantee system building and club management. Then we put forward the corresponding strategies on the system development of PSSI and club management.
