As we know, the knowledge economy and knowledge innovation is now becoming the drive force of the development of the world. The competition between countries depends much on knowledge and technologies. Independent innovation, innovative economy and innovation drive have become vital keywords when evaluating the development of countries. As an important participant of innovation, the universities play a pivotal role during the development of innovation. Meanwhile, the university teachers perform as a main part of the university innovation. It is quite important to explore the influence of performance assessment of university teachers on the university innovation, which will surely help provide an optimized guidance to improve the innovation capability for the universities. Therefore, how to carry out the performance assessment of the teachers and thus further promote the innovation capability becomes a vital scientific problem for universities.This thesis consists of nine chapters and 4 modules. Module one mainly talks about the research background and the concerning concepts and evaluation methods. In which the first chapter presents the introduction and mainly talks about the purpose and importance of the researches. Both domestic and foreign references are summarized, and the framework of the thesis is proposed thereafter. The technical methods and innovation points are also concluded in this part. Chapter two summarizes basic conception and evaluation approaches. The teachers’performance assessment, universities’innovation capability and other concerning definitions are clarified, and the evaluation approaches are summarized also.Module 2 mainly researches on the influence of teachers’performance assessment on the promotion of university innovation ability. In which, chapter three talks about the researches of university teachers’ performance assessment index. By systematically summarizing teachers’performance assessment index in both corresponding articles and practical situation, the index library is established. And by conducting questionnaire survey and research, teachers’performance assessment index system is established based on Borda number group rule decision. Factor analysis is used to reduce rank and classify properly. Chapter four discusses teachers’performance assessment index analysis facing the promotion of university innovation ability. The university innovation ability index system is firstly established and a canonical correlation analysis model of teachers’performance assessment and university innovation ability is designed, and then the key assessment indexes which influent university innovation ability promotion are dug out. The theoretical basis of teachers’performance assessment index analysis facing the promotion of university innovation ability is then established.Module 3 is the study on synthesized assessment of teachers’performance assessment and university innovation ability, which aims to analyze how teachers’performance assessment affect university innovation ability. Weights and assessment methods are two important factors of the synthesized assessment. So chapter five presents the weight design of innovation and performance index. Analytic Network Process and entropy method are applied to design performance assessment index weight and university innovation index weight, respectively, based on the analysis of the two index systems. Considering the two possible different cases when clear and fuzzy value of index values occur, the sixth chapter conducts the investigation based on Principle Component Analysis (PCA) when value is clear, and seventh chapter conducts the investigation based on VIKOR method when value is fuzzy. The evaluation results are compared and analyzed, In the aspect of practical research, the contents in this module compare and analyze the difference between teachers’performance ranking, key performance ranking and university innovation ability ranking of the same sample. The results show that teachers’performance assessment based on key performance indexes indicates a good match and compatibility with the ranking of innovation capability, which validates the importance of teachers’performance key index proposed in chapter 4.Module 4 is the foothold of theoretical analysis of this article. It mainly presents the optimization countermeasure of teachers’performance assessment based on improved university innovation. Chapter eight establishes the optimized model of teachers’ performance assessment based on multi-element main perspective. With collaborative innovation forming as the carrier, the relationship between collaborative innovation efficiency and teachers’ performance assessment is studied. And then a new path to improve collaborative innovation efficiency and university innovation ability is found. Three targeted suggestions and countermeasures are proposed based on the three key performance indexes found by the article’s research. Meanwhile, chapter nine is the conclusion and prospect. It well summarizes the research achievements of this thesis and points out the main contributions of this work. Meanwhile the main drawback of the researches in this thesis is also analyzed to point out the further researches in the near future.The main contributions of this thesis are:(1) For the first time. the influence mechanism of teachers’ performance assessment evaluation on improving university innovation capability is deeply analyzed using canonical correlation analysis model. The key performance assessment indexes are given to improve university innovation capability, i.e. teaching feedback questioning from students, university publications and course establishment, which provide a theoretical guide for teachers’ performance assessment evaluation based on improving university innovation capability.(2) Since two different types (clear value and fuzzy value) of index values may exist. different evaluation models based on PCA and VIKOR are established. The article systematically compares the difference between teachers’performance ranking, key performance ranking and university innovation ability ranking of the same sample. The result shows that teachers" performance assessment based on key performance indexes indicates a good match and compatibility with the ranking of innovation capability. The important role that key performance indexes play in teachers’performance assessment evaluation based on improving university innovation capability is also validated.(3) Since collaborative innovation is one of the key forms of university innovation, this article creatively establishes a two-stage link efficiency evaluation model. The influence of scale efficiency and technique efficiency on teachers’ performance assessment evaluation have been deeply investigated also. The research results show that if collaborative innovation is less effective, then teachers’ key performance and university innovation ability is also lower. This presents a new basis for improving teachers’ performance collaborative innovation efficiency and then the university innovation ability.(4) During the research process of this article, a collaborative innovation analysis model is established from the theoretical perspective and also the validation of the theoretical analysis results is performed from the practical perspective. The combination of theory and practice and the synthesized application of ANP. entropy method. PCA. VIKOR and other approaches avoid the limitations of the researches using single model, and thus, the research of this article is more rigorous, scientific and effective.
