With the national emphasis on science and technology innovation,the research on science and technology innovation capability has become increasingly rich.Science and technology have the characteristics of mutual benefit and coordinated development,and papers and patents are representative outputs of science and technology respectively.By analyzing the correlations between science and technology from the perspective of innovation subjects,we can better provide valuable information resources for researchers in R&D,production and other innovation activities,more comprehensively and objectively understand and grasp the situation in technology fields,plan the scope of innovation fields,adjust the R&D direction,strengthen the relationship between basic and applied research,and thus stimulate scientific and technological innovation power.By sorting out related theories and literature,taking the chemistry field of Nanchang Hangkong University as the main research subject and searching the time range from 2012 to 2021,based on the cleaned papers and patent data of Nanchang Hangkong University,using software such as ItgInsight and Datawrapper for visualization,combined with information measurement,social network analysis and IPC and mesogram method mapping model and other methods to explore the correlation between university science and technology from the perspective of the number of related papers and patents,time evolution,research direction,technology clustering and cooperation relationship,respectively.After comparative analysis,for the correlation of science and technology innovation ability in the field of chemistry of Nanchang Hangkong University,the following conclusions are drawn:the meso-mapping category and IPC classification have a high degree of similarity,and there is a certain degree of asymmetry in the classification level;the science and technology of universities are closely related,the research directions of theses and patents have convergence,but the focus is slightly different,the time evolution of technology clustering has a certain degree of concomitance,and patents At the level of individual scholars,there is a significant positive correlation between thesis publication and patent application,and some scholars’ awareness of patent application is weak,reflecting that there is still more room for development of universities in terms of practicality and awareness of intellectual property protection;the objects of cooperation between thesis and patent are different,the main object of cooperation of thesis is universities,and the object of cooperation of patent is enterprises.The cooperation of dissertation and patent is different,the cooperation of dissertation is mainly for universities and the cooperation of patent is for enterprises,and the cooperation of dissertation is more frequent;the research hotspots of core researchers overlap,which indicates that the research activities are characterized by application-oriented basic research,and there is a certain interaction rule between the research of patent and academic dissertation.In response to the above findings,the following suggestions are made:strengthen university-enterprise cooperation to make deep integration between university research and enterprise practice;enhance scholars’ awareness of intellectual property protection to guarantee the continuous growth of high-quality patents in universities;guide scholars to pay attention to published papers and awaken papers with technical attributes by patent citations;promote the construction of talent teams and establish a sound collaboration network;encourage and support scholars’ in chemistry Encourage and support scholars in the field of chemistry to make overseas patent applications and patent cooperation.
