As an intangible capital, psychological capital unlike economic capital, social capital and human capital, is a type of capital which in line with the development direction of contemporary society, has human-oriented and meticulous management features, and can promote individual and organizational performance improvement. Psychological Capital Research in recent years has become a new topic of academic research, and has made a series of research results, but these studies mainly focus on the organizational context, to introduce psychological capital from organizational context to educational context, especially for doctoral students’ psychological capital, few scholars dedicated a study on this special group. Thus, according to practice request of Higher Education Development, exploring doctoral psychology capital as well as the relationship between their psychological capital and research performance become the current urgent task of academic community.On the basis of sorting out and making comprehensive analysis on current domestic and international relevant research achievements on psychological capital and research performance, this article with PhD students in colleges and universities as the research object, integrated use of literature research, qualitative interviews, questionnaires and other research methods, to launch a study around doctoral psychological capital and research performance as well as the relationship between them. The main research work and results are summarized as follows:(1) System architecture development of doctoral psychological capital under the circumstances Chinese Education. This study was based on psychological capital theory, starting from the psychological characteristics of doctoral students, developing system structure of doctoral psychological capital. This study used grounded theory as the guiding theory of data collection and analysis, using interviews, literature review and open-ended questionnaires and other ways to collect the key elements which affect positive psychology of doctoral research performance, and by analyzing and summarizing obtained doctoral psychological capital is a three-dimensional structure composed of adaptive psychological capital, interpersonal type of psychological capital and learning & innovative psychological capital. Based on this, this study also combined previous study theory and concept latitude herein extracted, formed a measurement scale for doctoral psychological capital by analyzing and organizing, and through conducting research on PhD students in Colleges and Universities, carried out tests and analysis on collected data, verified reliability and stability of the doctoral psychological capital structural model.(2) Construction of PhD students’ Scientific Research Performance Evaluation System in Colleges and Universities. This study was based on performance theory, through literature analysis and synthesis of different research perspectives, starting from PhD students’ features and characteristics of their research work, combined performance viewpoint of behavior and results, formed a research performance evaluation system which with behavior-results as the mainstay, use research attitude based on emotional commitment and professional commitment as complementary. The system is composed of research attitude performance, research behavior performance and research results performance. Based on this, this study also combined previous study theory and architecture formed herein, formed a measurement scale for doctoral scientific research performance by analyzing and organizing, and through conducting research on PhD students in Colleges and Universities, carried out tests and analysis on collected data, verified reliability and stability of the doctoral scientific research performance evaluation system structural model.(3) Study on Influencing mechanism of doctoral psychological capital on scientific research performance. Based on the above-mentioned research content of doctoral psychology capital and research performance, this study carried out research on influencing mechanism of doctoral psychological capital on scientific research performance. Previous research data showed that the role of psychological capital on scientific research performance was still rarely carried out under the context of Chinese education. Therefore, this research took PhD students in colleges and universities as the object, on the basis of relevant research on doctoral psychological capital and scientific research performance, constructed a theoretical model of doctoral psychological capital effection on research performance,and used PhD students in colleges and universities as samples to take empirical test on theoretical model, the empirical results displayed that doctoral adaptive psychological capital has a significant positive impact on research attitude performance and research behavior performance, interpersonal type of psychological capital has a significant positive impact on research behavior performance and research results performance, learning & innovative psychological capital has a significant positive effect on research behavior performance and research results performance. In addition, there are also mutual influence relationship among research attitude performance, research behavior performance and research results performance, wherein research attitude performance has a significant positive effect on research behavior performance and research results performance, then research behavior performance has a direct significant positive effect on research results performance.Finally, according to research findings, combined with education management practices and doctoral own characteristics, this article proposed raising and nurturing recommendations on scientific research performance based on doctoral psychological capital.
