The pre-service teacher education curriculum in China has long been trapped in the thinking predicaments of instrumental rationality and technical doctrine. Based on a review on present pre-service teacher education curriculum, we find out the complex intertwinement among knowledge-orientation, skill-orientation and practice-orientation.Under such circumstance, the pre-service teachers have been defined as teaching man,technician or imitator, so deterministic knowledge, procedural skills, and general methods are believed to be canon and infallible in their educational training.Encountering with pre-service teacher education curriculum, normal students become passive knowledge recipients, transmitters and simple operation skill imitators. Their personal experience and recognition is oppressed. Their “true self” cannot be realized while their subjectivity is lost. Therefore these knowledge, skill and practice fail to be an essential power to realize the development of normal students ’ subjectivity,consciousness and creativity but alienate to be a binding and oppressing force.Consequently, the intrinsic value of pre-service teacher education curriculum is distorted by the logic of the old curriculum. To fundamentally break the bottleneck, we need to seek "concept reconstruction", "cultural remodeling" as well as other deep level shock waves to driven the conceptual reform on pre-service teacher education curriculum. As the most pure purport(AIO) reconstruction, emancipatory interest provides a profound theoretical perspective on the reconstruction of pre-service teacher education curriculum, and points to the right direction towards dispelling instrumental rationality and technical doctrine.Emancipatory interest aims at liberating people from their dependence on objectification. However instead of being a causally indulgent and chaotic liberation, itmaintains a harmonious power and combination between autonomy and responsibility as well as choice and responsibility, so as to equip people with a sense of life, ideal and value. Only based on emancipatory interest, can knowledge, skill and practice have fundamental significance, especially when it comes to pre-service teacher education curriculum. The curriculum aims at emancipating normal students from the trap of definite knowledge and procedural operation, and on this condition restores the independent and conscious identity of future teachers while in the same time breaks the inherent procedural and technical limitation. In this way curriculum planning is not only a collection of abstract, structured and symbol of the scientific concept, but also obtains a disposition of being generate, creative and fresh.Specifically, on the basis of emancipatory interest, the goal of pre-service education curriculum lies not only in familiarizing normal students with diligence and skills, but more importantly focuses on the "wake up" and "liberation" of their inner spirit, therefore points to the expectation of future teachers as “ poetic habitant ”, "stranger returning home" and "transformative intellectual"; Future teachers exist as the“reflectors” of education value and significance, the “researchers” of education knowledge and methods, and “leaders” of education practice and behavior. Based upon this, the research explains the aims formation levels of pre-service teacher education curriculum under emancipatory Interest from the perspectives of ethical dimension of education spirit, logical dimension of individualism awakening, aesthetic dimension of characteristic presentation, and practical dimension of practical wisdom.The course content of pre-service teacher curriculum emphasizes on the liberation from the barriers of “scientific world”, and returns to relevant teachers’ living world which interacts with the significance, understanding and subjects of normal students. This emphases that the selection and organization of course content should highlight the nature of dynamics, creation and situation, so as to activate the subject consciousness of normal students. The core curriculum content covers profession belief curriculum, theory conscientious curriculum, core attainment curriculum and practical experience curriculum, which is a new value clearance and reconstruction based upon existing curriculum content.The curriculum implementation abandons the "indoctrination" and the "oppression" and instead activates the subjectivity of normal students through empowerment and accountability, It attains the horizon fusion between normal individuals through dialogue and communication as well as transformation and creation. On selecting the path of teaching, the implementation of pre-servicecurriculum should put basis on the infusion and innovation of teaching cases of normal students’ education life, inquiry learning of individual knowledge generation and autobiography narration of self reflection, in order to release inner creativity and return to the subjectivity. Curriculum evaluation, as a combination of "connoisseurship", "illuminative" and "existence", should surpass its existing function of assessing,selecting and checking, and has become a process of meaning interpretation towards normal students, which concretely manifested as the diversity of evaluation criteria, the quality of the evaluation methods and the autonomy of the evaluation, so that the rationality and irrationality of normal students is unified.In a nutshell, the pre-service teacher education curriculum based on emancipatory interest aims at solving and overcoming multiple crises caused by instrumental rationality, and focuses on the understanding and construction of value theory,knowledge theory and methodology. At the value theory level, it intends to break the objective physical thinking and awaken normal students from oppression and slavery; at the level of knowledge theory, it aims at eliminating the inherent knowledge logic and stepping from the static situational isolation to dynamic and generative knowledge; At the methodological level, it targets at breaking the conventional technical operating methods and transferring from the path of indoctrination, transmittal and imitation to interactive and creative style.
