Education is the hope of a nation's prosperity, and teachers are the hope of education's development. From the latter half of last century, all nations began to develop their education, especially their elementary education. With the development of education, the problems in teachers' quality emerged gradually, and the importance of teachers' quality became clearer and clearer. The world started to pay more and more attention to pre -- service teacher education, which specialized in training future teachers and was customarily called normal education in China. In our country, the new round of the elementary education curriculum reform is comprehensively being carried out, and teacher professionalization is also being furthered. Under such background, how to improve the quality of education through reformation gradually becomes the focus of the research and changes in teacher education. It's well-known that the quality of teacher education is influenced by many factors. Among them, the teacher education curriculum plays a key role, because it's the heart of the school education. At present, some unbalance in curriculum constitution in our normal education has made the qualities of its students fail to meet the need of quality education. Our teacher education curriculum badly needs changes. Moreover, curriculum constitution is an unavoidable crucial problem in any educational research. Therefore, a further study on pre-service teacher education curriculum constitution becomes necessary. Furthermore, the educational courses are of great importance to the culture of the would-be teachers' professional makings and abilities, yet they have chronically been neglected. Hence the paper pays more attention to them. The case of pre-service teacher education curriculum reform in E-University was also illustrated and introduced. The paper hopes to make some pertinent, constructive and feasible suggestions to the curriculum constitution in pre-service teacher education, especially its educational courses, theoretically and practically.The paper is made up of 5 parts. Part one presents the significance, the connotation of some correlative concepts, the frame and methods of this research.Part two gives an account of the sketch of pre-service teacher education curriculum's evolution and its status quo. It emphatically analyses the main problems in its educational course constitution.Part three narrates the two key backgrounds: teacher professionalization and the new round of elementary education curriculum reform. The former's influence on the teacher education curriculum system and the new demands on the teachers' makings made by the latter are stressed here.Part four introduces the case of the teacher education curriculum reform in E-University. It is done in 5 parts. They are respectively about the gestation of the reformation project, the process of its establishment and announcement, its first-round actualization, the feedback, and the continuation of the reform.Part five is mainly about the epilogue. It's mainly about the writer's opinions about the case. It also includes some suggestions to the pre-service education curriculum constitution drawn from the research.
