Employment Effects Research Based On Service Industrial Structure Adjustment And Path Selection

After the impact of international financial crisis and during China’s economy is transforming pattern and adjusting structure, we should concern the correlation between service industry development and employment growth. Research shows that service industrial structure and employment effect have linkage. Service industrial structure upgrade changes the employment structure, and could increase the employment total scale. Therefore, theoretical study on adjusting service industrial structure and promoting employment effects is very important for upgrading industrial structure, expanding employment and benefiting people’s livelihood, which is also the source of this paper. The paper includes literature review, theoretical study, comparison study, macro economic analysis and empirical analysis and so on, in order to comb, conclude and comprehend employment problem influenced by service industrial structure. This provides a new research direction on correlation between service industrial structure adjustment, path selection and promoting employment.In this paper, Chapter 1 is introduction. Chapter 2 summarizes theories relating service industry and employment and discusses the correlation. Chapter 3 basically analyzes the mechanism that how service structural changes affecting employment, raises the trend of service industry structural changes, illustrates dominant and hidden mechanism about service industry development affecting employment. Chapter 4 empirically analyzes service industry structural change and employment effects through building application model, stationarity test, cointegration analysis, Granger Causality Test. Chapter 5 takes Qingdao for example, based on the employment effects, respectively analyze Qingdao services industry development path, regional development path, and space layout choice three aspects systematically. Chapter 6 states the idea of Qingdao industry structure adjustment, and puts forward relevant measures to promote employment. Chapter 7 is conclusion and outlook.The innovative achievements from the research are:Firstly, it proposes the beneficial interaction between service industrial structure evolution and employment change, expounds the impact on employment from service industry resources factors and from the structural adjustment, etc. It brings forward the mechanism that how structure change affects employment structure.Secondly, it conducts empirical analysis on the structural change and employment effects, mainly about Qingdao service industry, the employment situation, and employment effects of the Qingdao services industry internal structure; it carries Qingdao service industry development path selection through employment effects. It includes Qingdao services industry development path, service industry regional development path and employment effect, services development path space layout development trend; it puts forward path and measures of Qingdao services industry structure and employment effect.Thirdly, it integrates normative research, empirical study and case study. The paper conducted a full view based on qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis. The conclusion is: service industry is the main channel of creating employment. Labor intensive, capital intensive, and technology intensive service industry provides jobs opportunity for all levels of labor. It brings forward the measures to adjust service industrial structure path selection and promote employment effectively.
