Fresh produce industry has developed rapidly in recent years, butfresh produce market shows up volume imbalances and structuralimbalances. The relative backwardness of fresh agricultural productscirculation can not respond effectively to the imbalance, which bringsproducers and consumers losses and hinders the development of freshproduce industry. How to build fresh produce circulation pattern to adaptto current fresh produce industry, and how to improve the circulationefficiency are key issues which are also the focuses of this study.The production characteristics, physical characteristics, marketcharacteristics and circulation characteristics of fresh agriculturalproducts make their circulation special. According to the new supply anddemand trends of fresh agricultural products, fresh agriculturalproducts market in China emerges volume imbalances and structuralimbalances. Some fresh products oversupply, such as vegetables, itsconsumption per capita is far beyond the level of developed countries;some species are structural imbalances, including regional imbalances,seasonal balance, quality imbalance, and some products are in shortsupply.Fresh agricultural products circulation patterns are affected by theinternal evolution mechanism and external factors. The internalmechanism is that level of labor division causes changes in cost whichdecides circulation pattern. Externalization of labor divisionincreased transaction costs, and internalization of the labor divisionincreased management costs. External factors are sales and purchase behaviors of producers and consumers. By comparison analysis, this paperfound that producers and consumers of different regions had differentsales and purchase behaviors, which affected the evolution ofcirculation pattern. This paper established indexes system of evolutioncapacity of fresh agricultural products circulation pattern, andforecast the direction of evolution by principal component analysis. Theresult showed fresh agricultural products circulation pattern in Chinawould move toward the incorporate supply chain management mode.This paper studied the circulation efficiency of fresh produce frommacro and micro levels and made hierarchical analysis framework.Macro-level analysis showed that in the same region, cities which weremore efficient in macro circulation level had more efficient circulationmode. Relatively speaking, counties which were less efficient in macrocirculation had less efficient circulation mode. Nevertheless, theanalysis indicated traditional circulation mode and supply chain modewould coexist in a certain period of time.Fresh agricultural products circulation pattern should be setaccording to local conditions which include transaction environment,consumption and production environment. It is not appropriate to blindlyimplement supply chain mode. In this paper, environmental coordinatingcirculation pattern of fresh agricultural products and its frameworkwere put forward. Example analysis showed environment coordinatingcirculation pattern had good adaptability and led to higher circulationefficiency.
