The railway transportation equipment is the main railway productive assets, it is also the guarantee of normal railway transportation organization. The sustained stability of railway transportation equipment is an important foundation for railway transportation activities. Focus on monitoring and management of transportation equipment, railway locomotives, vehicles, power supply,maintenance,electricity and other professional work have built a series of professional systems, and accumulated the massive technical condition data of transportation equipment, and the data showed explosive growth trend. However,due to the independent construction and application of the professional systems, the effective methods which can be used to manage and analyze the massive data are lacking.The paper makes a comprehensive search of domestic and foreign research status,studies the relevant application cases,and put forward the reseach methods for big data platform of railway transport equipment technical condition.In this paper, the key technology of big data platform for railway transportation equipment technical condition is researched, to realize the transportation equipment life cycle management, comprehensive monitoring and evaluation, and to provide decision support for intelligent maintenance. The main research contents are summarized as follows:(1) The overall demand and business needs of the big data platform for railway transportation equipment technical condition are put forward. The main business processes are analyzed, which include the life cycle resume management, equipment monitoring management, equipment condition analysis and evaluation etc.(2) Based on researching the mainstream big data platform architecture, such as Apache,Hadoop, IBM and so on, The paper put forward the big data platform overall architecture, logical architecture, functional architecture, physical architecture, technical architecture and security architecture. The research on big data platform architecture will lay the foundation for data integration, storage and analysis and etc.(3) The study on the construction methods of the big data platform for railway transportation equipment technical condition is carried out in this paper. First of all, the method of equipment management unit division based on K-means is researched, so as to establish a set of unified data exchange rule and standard. Secondly, this paper studies the big data integration technology, big data storage technology, big data visualization technology and so on.(4) In respect of big data analysis and comprehensive application, the paper researches the intelligent comprehensive evaluation model for vehicle axle fault, which is based on big data integration to TPDS data, TADS data and TFDS data. Then, the fuzzy evaluation model based on analytic hierarchy process (AHP) of transportation equipment is studies, and an experiment is carried out to verify the feasibility of the model.(5) At the end of this paper,the design and implementation of the big data platform for railway transportation equipment technical condition are discussed. The design principle and application function are described. The big data platform for railway transportation equipment technical condition is developed in the simulation environment, which can achieve the master data management, transportation equipment life cycle management, transport equipment condition comprehensive monitoring and evaluation and so on.
