High-rise office buildings are one of the main public building types in China,their energy-efficient design is of great urgency.Through case studies on energy-efficient design of green high-rise office buildings,this paper figures out that a major problem is much effort has been put on green technologies rather than green architectural design.We select high-rise office buildings in cold region as an example and explore the energy-efficient design strategies,integrative energy-efficient design approach and design tool from the view of architectural thinking.This paper summarizes the basic steps and parameter lists of construct prototypical models and points out that China is lack of a reliable prototypical model database,which reduces the credibility of simulation results.Based on case studies,the protypical high-rise office building models in cold region are established.The protypical models contain a dot-plane type and a plate-plane type,covering four major cities in cold region of China,which are Tianjin,Jinan,Zhengzhou and Xi'an.Based on analyzing the effect of building energy-efficient design factors on energy performance of high-rise office models in cold region,this paper explores the energy-efficient design strategies,and put forward recommendations to building energy-efficient design standard.According to the results,the effect of space and facade design on building energy efficiency is verified,also key energy-efficient design elements are clarified.The relationship between building shape coefficient and building energy consumption remains a question to be discussed.This paper also discusses the important indicators that are not covered in current building energy-efficient design standard,including the space and facade design variables and the SHGC value.This paper presents a procedure for integrative energy-efficient building design,which utilizes multivariable experiment design method to arrange energy consumption simulation scheme.The procedure is simplified by means of screening of design variables and combinations of envelope design factors.The framework is implemented through case studies of high-rise office buildings in Tianjin.Also,similarities and differences in energy-efficient design of high-rise office buildings in cold region of China are proposed by comparing the results in three other cities.In accordance with the idea of sensitivity tools,this paper develops an integrative energy-efficient building design tool aiming at high-rise office buildings in Tianjin.With the help of the tool,architects can predict the energy consumption of the design scheme,and then adjust the design accordingly.Finally,the tool is tested by a case study in Tianjin.The procedure for integrative energy-efficient building design and the integrative energy-efficient building design tool aiming at high-rise office buildings in Tianjin proposed in this paper aim to inspire the design process of high-rise office buildings in cold region,and help to construct high-performance building space.
