The U.S. Factor In The Sino-Japan Dispute Over The Diaoyu Islands

The U.S.Factor exist everywhere in the dispute over the Diaoyu Islands between China and Japan.This paper is devoted to studying the factors from the perspective of historical and jurisprudential analysis,to explore the history of Japan’s East Asia strategy,to explore the evolution rule of the strategy of U.S.in the Far East,to analyze the different roles which U.S.played in various historical periods over the territorial disputes,to grasp its trends of policy for the islands,and try to propose coping strategy for the factors.In addition to the introduction,this paper with a total of four chapters and is divided into three parts:In the first chapter,it summarizes the Diaoyu islands dispute between China and Japan and the Ryukyu problem situation,it settles the research foundation and provides the analysis framework for the paper.This part illustrates the claims and basis of China-Japan-Taiwan over the Diaoyu islands sovereignty,and discusses the historical origin of unsolved Ryukyu issue.The second part is the second and the third chapter.This part is the main body of the article which introduces and analyzes the U.S.factors in the disputes over the Diaoyu islands between China and Japan from historical and legal perspectives.The second chapter explores the roles of the United States in the territorial disputes between China and Japan from the perspective of history,and this paper distinguishes the alliance period,the cold war and the post-cold-war period three stages to study.This paper reviews the previous international conferences related to the territorial disputes between China and Japan and analyzes great-power diplomatic practices.In this paper,the policy stance of U.S.in the different stages over the territorial disputes between China and Japan is discussed,the international treaties signed by U.S.which is related to the Ryukyu islands and the Diaoyu islands is combed,this chapter provides legal basis and policy reference for later research.Meanwhile,this paper analyzes the roles which is played by the U.S.military and the State Department on the Ryukyu islands and Diaoyu islands,and discusses the historical background and internal struggles behind the U.S.policy of the Diaoyu islands,and analyzes the development trend of the disputes between China and Japan,this provides theoretical reference for the third part of the study.This paper discusses the evolution of Sino-U.S.-Japan relationship and its relationship with the Diaoyu islands dispute,and analyzes the strategy adjustment of China Japan and U.S in the Far East,and analyzes its Diaoyu islands policy changes.This paper analyzes the impact which is brought about by U.S.for the results of World War Ⅱ and the post-war international order.The third chapter expounds the U.S.factors over the Diaoyu islands dispute from the perspective of international law,and puts forward the countermeasures and suggestions to cope with the international treaty of U.S..This paper discusses the force of related international treaty law which was signed by U.S.and Japan involving Diaoyu islands issue after World War Ⅱ,and discusses the the international responsibility and obligation which should be undertaken by U.S.in the maintenance of the post-war international order.This paper analyzes the transformation of the Security Assurance Framework between U.S.and Japan and its influence over the Diaoyu islands dispute,and discusses the applicability and feasibility of the U.S.-Japan Security Treaty in the disputes between China and Japan.After the valuation of the treaty of factors in the dispute between China and Japan,this paper proposes to build the new pattern of relationship between great powers actively and urged the U.S.to undertake the international responsibility and obligations of international law,Meanwhile take advantage of internal contradictions in U.S-Japan alliance and control Japan’s factors with the help of U.S..The third part is the fourth chapter,based on the study of the second part,this chapter proposes the countermeasures to deal with the factors of U.S.from the political,publicity,economic,and military aspects.This paper proposes to enhance strategic mutual trust between Chinese and Japanese on the political level to create a favorable public opinion environment for the improvement of the relations between China and Japan.This paper proposes to strengthen overall coordination in the propaganda aspect to build the international public opinion warfare.This paper proposes to build a solid strategy for China’s peaceful rise in accordance with the foreign strategic planning on the aspect of economy.Finally,based on the strong intervention on the military level,this paper proposes to develop the naval and air forces and to make preparation for military struggle.
