Study On Of Coaching Ability And Its Influence Factors For Chinese Tennis Coaches

Coach is one of the most important segments of high performance.The level of coaching is the decisive factor to develop high performance.Current competition in high performance depends on coaching ability.Chinese tennis has made great progress in recent years,however,poor coaching ability of native tennis coaches has limited the development of Chinese tennis.Using questionnaire,literature and mathematical statistics,the purpose of this article is to conduct a study on coaching ability and its influence factors of Chinese tennis coaches based on theories of sports training,sports psychology,management and system.Taking intermediate and senior tennis coaches,officials from tennis administrative center and trainers for senior coach as survey participants,this research explores the definition and connotation of coaching ability,builds coaching ability index system and its influence factors index system,analyzes the influence paths and mechanism on the basis of coaching research methods and results at home and abroad.This paper provides a theoretical reference for enriching training mode of Chinese tennis coaches,improving training quality and coaching ability.There are two innovation points in the research: first,it defines the concept of coaching ability.According to the feature of tennis sports and professional tennis coaches,it presents indexes constitute coaching ability and extracts testing items.By using exploratory factor analysis,it establishes coaching ability index system for tennis coaches and then ranks four dimensions of the system by importance in accordance with functional equation of coaching which research produces.Second,based on the index system above,the study builds the index system of influence factors of coaching ability for Chinese tennis coaches and ranks its three dimensions by influence,discussing and analyzing all influence factors comprehensively.This paper concludes that:1)Coaching ability index system for Chinese tennis coaches contains four dimensions: instructing training,commanding competition,research and innovation,management and coordination.2)Commanding competition is the most important coaching ability for tennis coaches,followed by instructing training,research and innovation,management and coordination.3)Coaching ability which distinguishes Chinese tennis coaches from other sports instructors reflects on scientific talent identification,training during competitions,mental motivation and adjustment,social relationships coordination.4)Influence factors of coaching ability which can be divide into internal environmental factors and external environmental factors includes three dimensions:personal traits,individual psychological factors and social factors.Among them,personal traits and individual psychological factors belong to internal part,and social factors are external ones.5)Personal traits have the greatest impact on coaching ability of tennis coaches,followed by social factors and individual psychological factors.
