Research On Space System Of Eco-city And Its Evaluation Based On Textual Urban Space View

In the past 30 years,China's development of urbanization basically followed the model at the expense of destroying the environment which under the guidance of mechanism during the industrial revolution in the west.The result inevitably cause urban diseases such as urban sprawling,traffic congestion,environmental degradation etc.In recent years,western countries have gradually went toward the concentrating development of urbanization,but our country has not yet been awaken fully,at present,there are trends in mostly cities that spreading continuously with high density.Eco-city is a sustainable idea which embodied in the field of city,it emphasises coordinated development between city's ecological system and natural ecological system,it has great significance to guide the healthy development of urban space in our country in the future.Currently,because of the insufficient understanding of the eco-city and the lack of systemetically theoretical guidance,the construction and development of the eco-city confronting with many problems and challenges.Thus the research on space system of eco-city is the objective demand of the construction of eco-city,and it has important practical significance to solve the problems of city.This article is based on the point of systemetic theory,using the principles of ecology,and introducing the concept of textual urban space,building the methodological and theoretical system on the research of space system of eco-city,provide a new perspective on the research of urban space in the field of urban geography.The definition of eco-city in the paper is a generalized concept,it isn't limited to certain kind of city,more precisely it is a kind of methodology which refers to think about the organization of urban space from ecological perspective,it broke through the original physical boundaries and administrative area,and is no longer confined to a closed area,it is a dynamic process which constantly experience intermediate state,and more importantly emphasis on the process and pattern of the cities which towarding advanced satge of ecological development.That is to say,any city has the potential to become eco-city,and only at different level and stage of development.The article used literature study,logic reasoning method,statistical analysis,comparative analysis and social investigation etc.,has began a systematic study with combination of theory and practice.The paper' main research contents and conclusions as follows:(1)The urban space belongs to the category of generalized textAlong with the extension of the concept of text,the text has been belong to the category of the philosophy with universal significance,urban space is a specific research object with humanistic nature,which convey the inner meaning through external as the text,it also has common essential characteristics with the text,they all have their own character of integrity,internal structure,and opening external environment,so urban space belongs to the concept of the text,it can be incorporated into the category of "text",and it is the generalized text which can be read,the research idea which based on textural urban space is helpful to to conduct a comprehensive and in-depth research on space system of eco-city.(2)Theoretical construction of space system of eco-city(1)The space system of eco-city has the similar ideographic structure of the text as "words"--"symbol"--"meaning",from the inside to outside is "spatial structure layer",which is the external physical manifestation of urban spatial structure;and "spatial function layer",which assumes the social,economic and environmental function of urban space;then "spatial value layer",which represent an aggregation of humanistic impetus that promote the development of urban space.(2)The space system of eco-city is a dialectical unity of “spatial structure--spatial function--spatial value”,which shows the mutual accommodation between urban spatial structure and spatial function under the influence of cultural conception and values of the main body in the city.(3)Research on model and evaluation of the subsystem of spatial structure of eco-city(1)The model of spatial structure of eco-city must be able to effectively coping with the rapid growth of population and economic activities,and satisfy the needs for different development levels of society,economy and technology,further more,the model is not a universal model,but one can fully embody the environmental character,and effectively organize production and life,and should be able to concentrate reflecting common desires and demands of residents.(2)The evaluation of spatial structure of eco-city including regional ecological space pattern from macro level and urban spatial structure from medium level.The evaluation system of spatial structure of eco-city including the quality in ecological environment,rationality in city's land use,green and comprehensive traffic,balance in social services and convenience of city's facilities,the article has build the objective and subjective index system of space structure of eco-city.Then takes Lanzhou,Wuhan and Zhuhai as the examples,evaluating the rationality of spatial structure of each city.The results show that the objective evaluation consistent with the subjective evaluation.(4)Research on model and evaluation of the subsystem of spatial function of eco-city(1)The pattern of spatial function also is not a universal model,different city can choose dominant function according to their resourceful advantages and environmental advantages,any kind of functional mode as long as reflecting the era,local and cultural characteristic,meet the demand of people in life and production,and provide people with convenience,is the goal of eco-city.For example,cultural city,innovative city,tolerant city,information city,and economic leading city,social services leading city,environment leading city etc.(2)The evaluation of subsystem of spatial function of eco-city including the assessment of effect of urban space,ability of providing external service and comprehensive function of urban space.The article takes Lanzhou,Wuhan and Zhuhai as examples,and make objective and subjective evaluation of urban space's function,the result shows that the objective evaluation consistent with the subjective evaluation.(5)The research on evaluation of the subsystem of spatial value of eco-city(1)The spatial value of eco-city mainly assumed ideology of residents which has the characteristic of metaphysics.The spatial value of eco-city has connected with people's value,the way of life and the cognition to the city and the world,which has been influencing the development of urban space to some extent.(2)The evaluation of spatial value of eco-city including the concept of people in ecological environment,ecological development,ecological travel,ecological consumption and the ecological society.The article has build the subjective evaluation index system of subsystem of spatial value in eco-city,then took Lanzhou,Wuhan and Zhuhai as examples,evaluated the ecological value of people in each city.Eco-city advocates people to cultivate body and mind,rethink the value of life and the meaning of individual existence during their development,it is such a full and meaningful lifestyle which geting rid of the property to the greatest extent,exerting the initiative and creative spirit of the individual and manifesting the city's humanistic care,including respect for others and non-human life.For China's current transition,the shape of new humanistic spirit such as "civilization began in the heart,the ecological practice began in line" should be the real ecological values of urban space.(6)The overall evaluation and research method of space system of eco-cityThe research and evaluation of space system of eco-city should include three parts: firstly is the structure of urban space,secondly is the function,thirdly is value of the urban space,these three parts constitute the subsystems of the whole system,the system's structure is from easy to difficult,each subsystem can be studied separately,but will be eventually integrated,because no one can not influence the others and also not be affected by others.The content of three subsystems together consititute a scientific and whole research framework of space system of eco-city.(7)The present situation and future direction of space system of eco-city in Lanzhou,Zhuhai and WuhanZhuhai's space structure is more reasonable,the residents' ecological consciousness is good,but in order to promote the sustainable development of urban space,it needs to further overcome the space and distance on the block,and maintain a diverse spatial contact with other cities in the areas,thus form more open space pattern.Lanzhou and Wuhan should not only open the pattern of urban space,but also actively understand the problem that call for immediate solutions of citizens during the process of city's development,and optimize the layout and combination of elements within urban space,strengthen the publicity of eco-city,and cultivate citizens' ecological consciousness,finally form the city's cultural ethos of "eco-city,constructing and sharing".
