The construction of learning society is speeding up the integration of learning and work in the 21 st century.If Enterprise wants to maintain the advantage of the competition must strengthen the construction of human resources.If employees want to promote their professional growth and development,they must learn in the workplace.As a type of learning mode,based on the working situation,workplace learning has become a part of the enterprise staff training.However,for individuals,if there is no motivation,workplace learning will be difficult to start.Therefore,Focusing on the present situation of employees' workplace learning motivation is helpful not only to improve the learning ability of the university,but also to the reform of higher vocational educationnot.Workplace learning motivation is the psychological process and is produced on the basis of employees' job requirements,it is the inner power that can directly provoke,adjust,maintain or stop the workplace learning activities.Based on situational learning theory,activity theory,elf-determination theory etc.,the research work embodies in the following aspects:Firstly,narrative research adopting the methods of field observation and depth interview observation is used to collect data,describing work stories of four employees' workplace learning motivation,and then theoretical analysis is conducted;secondly,based on existing literature and findings in the narrative study,a questionnaire about enterprise employees' workplace learning motivation was designed and conducted on more than 800 employees from 13 companies in South Jiangsu.The author analyzed the employees' workplace learning motivation with the help of SPSS,and explored the differences and correlation between employees' workplace learning motivation and influential factors on gender,marital status,age,educational background,enterprise type,job category,position level,working years,average monthly income,working hours,the number of job-hopping,etc.The results are supplement and validation to the narrative study.By using mixed research methods to study enterprise employees' workplace learning motivation,we found that enterprise staff's workplace learning motivation is a complex system,full of richness and multiplicity,shows the situational,practicability,complexity and periodic and so on.There are many types of the workplace learning motivation:career development orientation,relationship orientation,the interest orientation,job orientation,materialreward orientation,avoidance of learning orientation and so on.The current level of employees' workplace learning motivation is very high,andits influential factors mainly cover the work tasks,learners' individual,unit organization,society,familylevels,and so on.In contrast,current level of higher vocational college students' learning motivation is generally low,manifested as vague learning goals,strong utilitarianism,unconfident in learning,lack of learning autonomy and so on.Based on the findings about the research of employees' workplace learning motivation,the strategies recommended for higher vocational students are as follows:(1)comprehensively know yourself,and designclear goals,and plan higher vocational life wisely;(2)change the traditional learning concept and focus on improving the ability of autonomous learning.The strategic recommendations for the higher vocational collegesare as follows:(1)pay more attention to the development of students,improve the campus culture construction,and create a good learning atmosphere;(2)highlight the characteristics of vocational curriculum in the way of effectiveness and flexibility,give students more room for free choice;(3)strengthen the education teaching ability of teathers,try to highlight the function of teaching and education in vocational colleges.The strategies recommended for the society and family are as follows:(1)Respect the higher vocational college,highlight the function of social service in higher vocational college,and raise the social status of higher vocational college;(2)Pay attention to the family education method,work with the school,stimulate the student's learning desire.
